when to be involved when not to sometimes it happens naturally, offering heart felt advice to a troubled friend and sometimes that friend does the same for you, naturally so other times i struggle with it and ask am i to get involved- why ? it's easier to not get involved when you're not as attached to the person, but what if that friend is in your family ? haha other times its best to keep your mouth shut and we can see sometimes it's best to let that person find things out on their own but for creation for the moment when you're given a chance to experience to a greater extent to spread, feel strength etc what are we to do- if it feels forced, is it love ? even if you believe you're exercising, 'good intention' Title: Re: Question about Service. Friend or family, romance or otherwise the answer is similar for me. What i have found out is that we can help for as long as we are being of help. When we see that we are becoming part of the problem or are enabling the problem to continue and solutions are not forthcoming it is better for us to distance ourselves from the situation and the people involved so that we can help them silently in prayer. i noticed u ask the question; Wonder if they r in our family? Who is our family? It is a mistake to think that our spiritual family is not just as important in our decision making as our blood line families. Our true family is our spiritual family. When we make choices that have the attitude that blood relations are more important then our our spiritual family; we then cut ourselves off from our spiritual family and spiritual help. At times we need to leave it to God. We will know when God wants us to use us to be of service. Until then we can provide invaluable service putting these situations in God's hands in our prayers. In this way we continue to love while not getting involved in the sickness of situations. We may find that we get drawn into these situations intentionally or unintentionally by others. It is up to us too choose whether it is our karma or not. Sometimes we justify the occurrences we have with others when in reality we have a choice to stay involved or terminate the illnesses that are apparent in what amount to dead end relationships and events in life.
