Title: Reading Between the Lines
Post by: Jitendra Hy-do-u-no-us? on Oct 30, 2011 10:09 pm
When people talk together they can profess caring and even love but at times we need to read between the lines to see just how much they really care about us and who are really our friends and loved ones. This has been my experience.  Often we ourselves can impose on others who have a more passive approach to  life. So we need to take care not to take advantage of them unintentionally when their interest in us is waning. These are just some reflections that have come to me lately in my personal relationships. i have noticed that unless another person shows a certain amount of enthusiasm towards a friendship or relationship it is best to turn to others who do or to work on ourselves so that we are more appealing towards others.

It is often difficult to read someone elses character yet it is an important element of understanding someone else and where they are coming from. When we are truly calm the mirror of our mind will reveal to us the character of others and reading character will improve.

It is easy to criticize others when there are difficult circumstances and life situations. It is much more difficult to give response, participation, love, understanding and our time when they are needed most.

Viewing life thru the eyes of others, we have the ability to see ourselves more clearly and how others see us; not just how we see ourselves. If i strive to see others through this little identity called Steve how can i understand what i am really projecting?

It is nice when others try to help us in a friendship or love relationships. Yet we are often left with the thought: is this what i am sending out to others or are those who try to help us also somewhat biased in their own opinions as well? This of course comes as a result of critical analyses of ourselves by others and by ourselves. i guess it boils down to meditating more and looking in that clear mirror of peace that the soul projects and that also helps us with all our questions. At the same time listening to the 'messages' those around us are sending and hoping/praying we are choosing our associates wisely.

Making the jump to our higher mind is partially being receptive in all circumstances; reassessing r comments, realizing your soul is reaching out towards us even in observations of myself. Conditions manifest to check our adaptability and resourcefulness to unfolding possibilities and circumstances.
