Title: ~Your mind~
Post by: elfunrocker on Jul 04, 2012 07:36 pm
“Everyone is my teacher. Some I seek. Some I subconsciously attract. Often I learn simply by observing others. Some may be completely unaware that I’m learning from them, yet I bow deeply in gratitude. However, as soon as anyone tries to ‘Impose’ their beliefs on me, attempting to convince or convert me, I walk away; for this is someone who wishes to control my mind, NOT Enlighten it. Remember, Learn from Everyone you meet, but let NO ONE ‘Tell You’ what or how to think.”

in reality we really do very little on our own. we can put
out the effort and we can create the circumstances for
success and have the keys to success but without Gods
grace we can still be slowed down or stopped by unforseen
events. in all our circumstances we need Gods grace for
the fullfillment of our goals and our happiness.
everyone has their own path to the goal of happiness.
each of us throws out our own ideas and we learn from 1 another.
if those ideas do not resonate with us we choose those that do for ourselves.
it is enough to control our own minds let alone the minds of others.

I have noticed thru years of meditation just how much people are caught up in certain thought processes. Certain thoughts about reality govern the way we operate and controls our attitudes.  :o It is thru watching the mind operate and slowing down its process and thus letting go of its attachments and obsessions that we can start freeing ourselves from the reality we find ourselves in and expand that reality. Many thoughts are obsessions of the mind. The mind can be caught up in rebellion from external influence as well as external pressures just as well as attached to attitudes we unconciously hold as sacred. Thru meditation and introspection we begin to understand just how much we are living relics of old outworn thoughts and attititudes.

When meditation is mastered, the mind is unwavering like the flame of a lamp in a windless place.~Krishna
