Did you know this about spinach? Spinach supplies the same amount of protein as you would get from the same quanity of meat? So don't let meat eaters tell you that you do not get enough protein. There is plenty of protein in a vegetarian diet and Americans get too much protein.

Spinach also has alkalizing qualities which support PH balance, shown to help cells retain nutrients.

It is an excellent source of:

Vitamin K- shown to help bones absorb calcium, protecting bones from weakening or fracture.

Vitain A- supports healthy eyes and skin and aids in protecting against infections.

Maganese-

Has shown to help the body form connective tissue and bones.
Some studies suggest maganese aids in calcium absorption.
Promotes healthy brain and nerve functions.

There are foods that are satvic, rajasic and tamasic. That is: spiritualizing, activating and ignorance producing.
Master claimed that Mangoes are one of the most spiritual of all foods and meat is the most tamasic.

Lately I have been cutting down on sub sandwiches and all sorts of veggie sandwiches because bread breaks
down to sugars and cheese can be very fattening.
