Title: Soul Connections
Post by: Steve Hydonus on Mar 16, 2013 07:06 am
i have been contemplating the different relationships that people encounter between each other and i decided i want to bring it up here and hope some of you add to it. i am talking about spiritual relationships like: Soulmates, Twin Souls, Same Souls, Twin Souls and Souls In Different Evolutionary States. etc. What made me interested in this subject is that i was n Las Vegas a few days ago and while looking for a place to eat i came upon this Old Bookstore and found a book about the Planet Pluto by Jeffery Wolf Green in which this subject was brought up. i have given some thought to spiritual relaltionships we have with others but i hadn't seen it explained as well as he did. So it inspired me to bring it up again.

One of the relationships we have with others is that of Same Soul. That is when we see our soul in the mirror of another human being. Higher advanced spiritual beings can manifest in different bodies to work off karma quicker and evolve faster. This is an interesting reflection because it is as though the soul is encountereing itself in another human being. It is in conflict with itself. There can be a confrontation of dialogues. These different people emanate from the same soul that is in conflict because of the nature of different desires. There might appear to be an attraction and then repulsion. More on this later....

Just as the ultimate source which is God  becomes visable and manifests in the human realm as many souls and then calls
itself back......... so too humans have this capacity and can create more then one body. In a sense you may already recognize this happening as you see your desires being worked out in those around you.

Some of these desires may be in opposifion to themselves. An example would be to have a desire of a sexual nature
which if acted upon would be in opposition to a desire of a spiritual nature. Yet we may also ask ourselves if the
desires of the spirit and flesh are really in conflict or is this a teaching that we have had handed down to us?

It becomes easy to recognise that we are working out these conflicting desires that are manifesting in the guise of those around us. The soul who has accepted these teachings also has these conflicts. The desires of a pure nature would judge those of a sexual nature as wrong or impure. Yet the evolution of the soul is based on the elimination of all desires., whatever these desires are. That which is desired must manifest into emperical reality for it to be acted out and eliminated.

Jeffrey Greene  describes soul mates in his book Pluto :  the soul's evolution thru relationships.
soul mates are two people who have independently acted on the desires to embrace a spiritual or transcendent reality.
and the real purpose of the union with one another is to continue their individual spiritual development because of and thru the relationship. in spirituall terms this is called the path of the householder in contrast to the path of the monastic.

this  does not mean  these two people are are perfect. it does mean that they both have embraced a transcendent or spiritual principles yto guide both the individual lives in a relationship. With this type of definition why would it be preordained
for two people by God? Couldn't we have more than one soulmate?

This does not mean that these two people are perfect. it does mean that they both have embraced transcendental spiritual principles to guide both of their individual lives and  their relationship. there's a  spiritual philosophical foundation upon which the relationship is built and based. as a result there is a larger point of view to refer and defer to. This then allows for unconditional love and support for one another as opposed to conditional love. Conditional love is one of the primary breeding grounds thru which difficult karmic situations or conditions can be created.  Unconditional love is one of the primary breeding grounds  through which harmonious or positive karmic situations or conditions are created. Thus true soulmates only have positive karmic conditions or situations that are mutually supportive and beneficial to each other. the state of Soulmates evolutionarily speaking is a condition  evolved from the most common relationship unions which are karma mates.
