Title: Babaji
Post by: Jitendra Hy-do-u-no-us? on Jul 25, 2013 07:22 am
It is it is the celebration of Babaji's birthday on Thursday, July 25. Although no one  really seems to know his birthday since he always remains in eternal youthfulness. When great avatars are recognized on a certain day of the year they bring more blessings than usual to humanity and to each of us individually who acknowledge their exisitance and omnipresence.

What I find fascinating is Babaji's sense of humor he interwined it  with spirituality and wisdom oriented comments. Sri Yukteswar wanted Babaji and his band of Himalayan nomads to stay around so he could feed them. When he got back from preparing food, they were gone and it was explained to him later that he blew them away with his material thoughts. Likening his spirit to a calm burning flame he told Sri Yukteswar: "I (can) assure you I was fairly extinguished in the ether by the gust of your restless thoughts"~ Babaji Much like God, peace or spirituality is blown away during our meditation by our own thoughts. Babaji assures us that even a little practice of meditation saves us from dire fear of death and the after states associated with death. Babaji's picture is in the upper right hand corner of the forum.

I met a woman who said she saw Babaji at the Ganges asham. She said that she was touring the Hamalayas with a friend and they were looking for an interesting diversion from the touring group and wanted to do something different.

They saw two sadhus who came up to them and Babaji looked straight into her eyes. She felt an electrical elixer going up and down her spine. Babaji reached towards her hand and pulled off a ring off of one finger. she had rings on most of her fingers and she was wondering about that ring and thought somehow it wasn't hers and that she was to give it to somebody and that's what happened.

Om Babaji♡Jai Guru♥Om Babaji Namaha (I salute to thee o Lord)♡
