Wow Where is Dinapore cantt in relation to other areas? i bet some of the grounds are blessed by the presence of the Master. Probably would be a wonderful place to meditate at. Do you have any stories you have heard about Lahiri Mahasya?

It is about 10 KM from Patna, ancient capital of Mauryan Empire and now capital of bihar. It is about 350 KM from Ranchi. Lahiri mahasaya lived here in about 1860 or so and in a very low profile. Dinapore is a military station since 1750. In 1997 a YSS Devotee (Brig Rawat, then commander of the Dinapore military station) tried to trace the ancient MES (Military Engineering service) office where Lahiri Mahasaya had worked and found that building to be used as Gurudwara(a sikh temple) for Sikh soldiers. My father  told me that then Lahiri Mahasaya had some  disciple in the villages around Dinapore and one of his disciple, a simple farmer, went to meeting of scholars at Bankipore called by the Zamindar and surprised everyone by his knowledge.

That's  wonderful.
I wish I will able to spend sometime like this. As Ramkrishna has said - spend some time in solitude to find GOD.

Sat Nam prabhatsinha

We have not heard from you in a while and miss your presence. As i was reading this quote that i put here i was reminded that we sometimes have to find time for God alone; otherwise our restless thoughts combine with those of our friends and worldly contacts. At that point we often find ourselves taken down and in the grips of maya we must struggle to reconnect.

Below you have related to us that in your opinion you have met two God realized souls. How fortunate you are! What were your experiences with these men?

May your prayers be answered about understanding yourself. i too attempt to this task. i daily ask the Master's to help us by guiding us to follow the path and realize who we  really are...

Hi Steve!
Thanks for taking interest in my story. We have to keep remembering our target, our shy friend, our silent father.

I have mentioned about Sardari thakur. He was a truck driver. He went to a field to ease himself.  He got the vision of divine mother and instruction to create a Kali temple. He built the temple with the help of Otheraghat, kishangunj. He become a friend of my father and regularly visited us for about twelve years. He was very gentle. I had a real insight of him in 1990 when I was in trouble and no body knew about me . He not only got intution of it but told me a solution.
Nirvananandji is  the incharge of dwarhat SRF ashram. I met him at Ranchi. I asked him something. He touched my spine and given a perfect answer which has info of what I thought an hour ago.

hi prabhat,

What a wonderful story you shared with us. Divine inspiration he had, with that vision and instruction to create a Kali temple. And how special to have had the opportunity for you and your family to know him in person. It just amazes me when I hear of people that have had connections to such Divine people and the insights they have into the lives of others, helping others with Divine guidance and advice. It is a blessing just to be in their presence.

It is kind of you to help us expand our horizons by visiting most of us here in the United States. We hear so much about your country and our blessed by the spiritual saints and avatars who have come here from India. May i ask where you live in such a large country?

We have also heard about attacks from Maoists in India. Is this because of such a large discrepency between the rich and poor as we also see in the United States? Where do these Maoists come from? We pray for you, your country and the people of India.
They (masters and saints from India) have helped us so much in our spiritual lives.

Hi steve & Into blue!
Thanks.
Sardari Thakur was so gentle that my father send him on many errands during my brother's marriage. Whenever he came to our home he insisted on sleeping on the verandah outside. Once my father visited him at kishungunj with a wish to ask him how he do it all these. They settled for a meal and resting when Sardari thakur suddenly said " I don't know how all this happens. It just happens."

I live at Danapur Cantt, near Patna(capital city of Bihar Province) It is nothern side of India near Nepal. You will find Danapur Cantt on Google Earth.
Maoist are our own people. They turned to violent means due to the neglect and corruption and lack of education. Ultimately, it is all mothers play. All are her babies and the changes are for better. Even Hitler had a role to play. So is Gandhi.
I wish I will be able to meet  you people in person and talk a lot  sometime when you will come to India.

hi Prabhat !

I find it interesting that so many Saints and Gurus come from India. I wonder why that is ? How is it that one country becomes more spiritual than other countries ?

It is wonderful that we have a forum such as this, a great way to meet others from other countries and a place to share our thoughts.

Thank you Steve, for making this possible with your idea of creating this forum.

1. What langauge(s) do you speak?

2. Since you live near Nepal have you noticed any influx of  Buddhists in your area who escaped from the hostile rule of the Chinese?

3. Are you able to see th Himalayas from where you live?

Prabhatsinha i looked at this map: http://www.mapsofindia.com/neighbouring-countries-maps/india-nepal-map.html  but could not find your location. Perhaps you could tell me more. As you know doubt know the Chinese have accepted their political system as their religion and have persecuted their native religion which was Buddhism. It miffs me to think the greatest spiritual mecca (India) and the worst spiritual countires share the same borders.

Hi Into Blue!
I am fine. I am all the time reading your posts.
I am recently reading the books on Master mahasaya(remember AOY).
It is written by his disciple and in the same way as Master Mahasaya has written about
Sri Ramkrishna Pramhansa. I also Read Geeta by Swami Chinmayanad. Recently I have read
an online edition of Geeta by Swami Nirmalanand (a very good book, He has taken diksha from Late Swami Vidyanand Giri-Daya mata is very fond of Vidyanand Giri).
I am in touch of a Highly evolved soul Gurudev Sri Rajni Kumar. He said that  I went deep into meditation when I was a newbie. That was true because I had experienced it. So more I learned less is progress. Keep to basics. Try to love God. He/She all powerful will do everything/ is doing everything.
thanks

Hi Prabhat,

Nice to hear from you, glad to hear that you are well. Thank you for reading my posts.
Some new names I have not heard of before, I will have to look into finding out more about them and the books you mentioned.
Very cool that you went deep in your meditation and that you are in touch with "Highly evolved soul Gurudev Sri Rajni Kumar".   Thank you for sharing ways to focus on the meditations. Sometimes one gets so involved in details, and one needs to just get back to the basics to get the focus back on the meditation. Once one has the focus back, then one can get into all the details, at least this is what I think. Ones that have meditated for years, probably don't need the going back to basics idea.

Have a great day !

Hi Into Blue !
When your meditation is ripe you don't have to do it. It will pull you into meditation.

When I first met Sri Rajni kumar after some talk he told me the exact time when I started my
spiritual journey with exact month and year.

Some how all our efforts are written somwhere and someone with the knowledge can read it.
Our efforts are to make us more ready for the supreme one. Ways are many. So that he can come or
uncovered. We have a very interesting  word for it "Ishwar Labh" - Profit of GOD.

It is a joy to talk to you and share our thoughts as Ramkrishna has said that it is habit of devotees to talk about God.

Thanks

Your life experiences are interesting to us. You are speaking of the Akashic Records here. The future present and past have all been written and sealed by God. Some of the great ones like Sri Rajni can read this. The intersting point is that God can change the play that has been written if he so chooses.

Hi Prabhat !

Very cool about your conversation with Sri Rajni kumar and him telling you the exact time when you started your spiritual journey ! Amazing how they know these things, it is like their wealth of knowledge is limitless.

The ways are many, on the path of our efforts to make us more ready for the supreme one, but all paths eventually lead us to the same goal. Also interesting how the people we meet along the way, can help to guide us and encourage us with these spiritual efforts.

Thank you Prabhat, it is also a joy to share thoughts and talk about God with you too.

Very true about the different Gurus - thanks Prabhat !

I was talking to someone I know who is from India, telling her about Yogananda and Amma. I was somewhat surprised she had never heard of them and she was a bit hesitant to believe the things I was telling her. She told me that she has seen so many ' so called Gurus ' she is not sure who is real and who is not. Can there possibly be that many Gurus in India to cause such confusion ?

Or is this similar to all the different religions in the USA, each one claiming that they are the true or real religion ? I suppose this could in a way be confusing too.

Hi Into Blue !
One of my friend who work in USA was with me a few months back.
He said he is afraid of Gurus and narrated a story how a Guru came from India
and suggested his devotees purchase of certain shares and actually he has interest in the company
and they were cheated.
I asked him for what you have met that Guru - to increase your money.
So you found a Guru who is also after money. If you try to find GOD you  will get  your True Guru
I have presented him AOAY.

Hi Prabhat !

Interesting story about your friend and the Guru. It is unfortunate that some are only interested in making money, and use acting as a Guru as a way to do so. This is similar to what my friend told me, about these other Gurus wanting to take people's money for their own purposes. That was very thoughtful of you to give your friend AOY , so that he can find a true Guru. Very good advice, " If you try to find GOD you  will get  your True Guru "

I hope your friend has found his True Guru.

Or do many speak English? i wonder what some of the people of India think about Gurus who have left India and went to the west. Basic Hindi should be a requirement for whenever my friends and I finally make it to India. Maybe everyone in the world should speak English or English and Spanish, they seem to be the easiest languages to learn. I hope all is well with you and your family !

I was just reading a post from Steve about the Tulsi / holy basil plant. I was wondering if you had anything you wanted to add about this plant. Does it grow wild in India, or is it a special plant that one buys in a shop and then grows in containers or pots  ? or can one buy seeds and plant it in the garden ? Do you have a garden ?

There was also a comment about the Tulsi being used to keep mosquitos away.

Hi Into !
Tulsi is a herb. If you take a few leaves daily it improves immune system.
We have tulsi plants. we usually plant it along the temple and water it daily.
It has become a ritual as the plant is benificial. I add tulsi leaves in my tea whenever I catch cold or I had sore throat.
You can grow it in the garden or flowerpot. It has small seeds.
I do have a small garden. my wife maintains it. We plant a few vegetables along with some flowering plants. We have a mango and a guava tree in it.
If the seeds not available there we can send you.
I don't know about its use as mosquito repellent

Thank you for the info on the Tulsi plant, for some reason I didn't think of it as a herb plant. That makes sense with all the health benefits, like putting the leaves in tea for a cold or sore throat. Thanks for that idea !

Wow, a mango and a guava tree right in your yard ! That is wonderful ! I don't think I have tasted guava, I know they have it in the stores here. I like mangos.  :)

Namaskar apko bhi, Steve!
Thanks for your lovely words. Its wonderful to know you. I always mention you to my friends and family  about your dedication and spiritual quest. We are all well here. We have just finished holi, a festival of colors. Earlier I was in Delhi where I visited the famous tomb of Sufi saint Hazrat Nizamuddin and his famous disciple Amir khusro.
sometime I wonder whether  life is a question of comprehension where you will be given  different texts to study with different surroundings. So we are in different circumstances and surroundings. But we have to answer the questions the life has given to us and they  can be difficult irrespective of surroundings.

It is like you might be born in this land next time around and i may be born there or perhaps we may both meet in a higher realm. But it all starts here and now making connections and bringing us together spiritually as we learn the importance of this form of communication above all others. In Masters Blessings Steve

P.S.i agree with Into Blue

Hi Steve!
I was a  bit  occupied in construction of  Patna Darbar of baba Tajuddin.
It is  nearing completion. Gurudev Sri Ranjan kumar Sinha will be there. I wish you can come sometime
and learn astrology from him.
On 13th nov is festival of lights "deepawali".

It seems that my karmic background has brought me here (U.S.) this lifetime. But anything is possible with the Guru's Grace. i never knew i would be this long in the 'holy lands' of southern california where the guru walked, talked and blessed so many for so long! The best thing i can think of at this time is your bringing India to us as you know we treasure anything we can hear about it. You have mentioned deepawali before: i wonder of the origin of this festival?

it is said    that it is to celebrate the arrival of lord Ram in Ayodhaya after victory at lanka over Ravan.
But it appears that it is to save rice crop from insects as the lights burn them. whatever it is a joyous occasion
with lights, crackers and sweets.

;D Insects love the light also. Yet is not the soft glow of the spiritual lights they are atrracted to.
All your folklore and history is filled with such beautiful spiritual backgound prahatsinha. Perhaps one
day i will be apart of such celebrations. We are beginning to honor such traditions here in southern california
and in other parts of our country.

You are good in astrology. Sri   Ranjan is also very good. He learned from a astrologer who can predict when he was standing with sri Ranjan in a hospital that on which number bed which type of patient will arrive. and exactly happens.
No one around sri Ranjan who can learn this. I myself don't  have interest in astrology.
