Nope, it takes a lot to offend me. I've heard, and seen a ton over the years.

I'm used to it though. Most people, like all of my friends drink. I've even come from a ton that is known for people being drunk.

So between my friends, and town mates, I am the one odd ball that stands out in the crowd.

I don't understand the need for drinking. Not that there is anything wrong with it. I have drank before. The taste is horrible how people can willingly do that over and over again is beyond me.

I have also noticed most people drink to escape their day. Escape their stresses, their worries, and to just get away from it all.

I don't need a drink to do that. For it's not solving anything, but masking the problem temporarily.

   Yea i like to have some light beer with Pizza and some kinds of wines are good for the heart so i hear. Generally speaking though alchohol is inharmonious with the spiritual life. You will find very few people who drink and meditate. At least that has been my experience. The more we are taken into the senses the further we are from God. It takes a lot of realization to see God in those who abuse the senses. But i have been there. i am not trying to supress my senses. It is just that the more you experience inner peace and bliss the more you want of it. If you continue to go in the senses you will get very restless. It is very hard to meditate when we are restless.  

I agree that if one is drinking all the time it could hinder their spiritual side.... But I wonder if that is more of the addiction part to it. For I have a friend that does drink, and enjoys the drink. However, he is also a devout Buddhist who meditates constantly. And is at his temple once a week. So I don't know how much drinking impairs his meditation, or spiritual side.

It seems that cut and  dry answers just can't fit every situation. That it is what makes this creation so amazing. Just about the time you start thinking you have the answers, new variables enter the picture to challenge your assumptions, attitudes and perceptions.

and this is when the questions start, and keep on going .........  

Which is why we should never ever stop learning. Always seek to learn and grow..

I have thought about it. I have read a few Buddhist books, and do enjoy some of their philosophies. I have never actually gone to their temple. I don't think I really could adhere to it anymore. For I find it very limiting to just follow one path.. When you do that you get stuck behind your mind, and behind doctrines, and never truly are free. You are held fast in rigid beliefs.

I'm never good speaking about myself. I guess  I am to humble to really talk about myself. It's hard to come up with words to say to describe me.

As for being versed in the dark side. I am not. I know nothing about the dark side other than the saying, "you don't know the power of the dark side." And they get all the cool moves like force choke, and lightening. ;)

I'm pretty much a simple man. I enjoy the simple things in life. Music, art, comedy. Outside of that their is not really much to say about me.

Amorabsolutus, see I was right, a kind and gentle spirit. I was not sure about this " versed in the dark side business " . Do you like sci - fi ?

Yes, I like Sci-Fi things to an extent. I enjoy the Star Wars saga, and Spaceballs is one of my favorite movies of all time. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and at least rent it.

There are many Sci-Fi shoes I have not seen, and probably will not. I'm not completely big on the different Aliens movies. Mainly because they are usually portrayed as evil vicious entities that won't think twice about harming you. Kind of like how ghost's are portrayed for the most part.

I am not a sci - fi person really, and definitely not an alien. I do like mystery and suspense movies, with or without ghosts. 

I would say my favorite genre will always be comedy. I am also very very partial to animated flicks. I actually enjoy more animated flicks to real life flicks.

I have seen Hocus Pocus. It was an ok movie I suppose. The only movies of that type that have really been good where the Harry Potter ones.

And sorry I'm not able to tell you what movie you have forgotten.

Guess it's a no on the theory of the 3 witches! The other movie is called " Practical Magic " and only has 2 witches as main characters. Then again, there was a tv series called " Charmed " which had 3 witches who were sisters.

Would you believe, Harry Potter movies are listed in the top 10 Witch Movies? Who is the witch in those movies ? Harry was a Wizard.

i have been sooo busy with the Big Movie going on around me that i rarely see films these days. The drama goes on daily. How about this: When/if you come out to L.A. we see one of your favorites?

what comedy movies? any favorites?  animation is amazing!

My favorite comedy would be Spaceballs. Bruce Almighty is pretty funny as well. Yes, man is a great movie. And is also very motivational.

Animations I would say anything Pixar. Studio Gibli's filsm are good as well.

not much to say, really. just got my review with work. This July will be 10 years. I have been trying for a promotion for the past 2 or so years, and keep getting nit picked out of it, and it's leaving me with a sour taste in my mouth. Yet, I have no clue what else to do for a living. So it's kept me in the same spot for a while. Hopefully in time answers will become more present in my life.

That was the hardest hurdle I had when it came to working. The bore factor, as i like to put it. Doing the same thing day in, and day out can be really draining on a person. The added perk of my job is that I travel from store to store. So in a way, yes, it's the same, but it's not in the aspect that I visit a new place every day.

amorabsolutus, there is always something to say, you just have to say it! Take what you really like to do and go for it! Follow that dream!
