Title: Jesus. This-the man that changed everything... everything!
Post by: Jitendra Hy-do-u-no-us? on Apr 11, 2015 09:50 pm
Since we appear to have similar views Mccoy perhaps we should start a new topic on Jesus. This-the man that changed everything... everything!

Let's do that, he's our param-param-param-param guru after all (hope the # of params are all right)

Thanks for reminding me Mccoy.

The two things that he said that had the most influence on me recently are; "Follow Me" and "Those who have not sinned cast the first stone."

The first quote demonstrates the attunement of those that heard his words had for him; since they immediately followed. The second one leaves us unable to judge anyone.

His first disciples were fishermen, with boats (pretty wealthy for the standards of that society) who never saw Jesus before. They left everything without delay. They recognized consciously or subconsciously their guru of previous lives.
 No other plausible explanation.

The thing that inspires me is that Jesus was a man of flesh and blood, imperfect like us who experienced the up and downs of life as we do and eventually set an example for all of us now bound to these bodies. He experienced joy, pain and sarcasm. He taught that religion is a personal experience and inspired others to reach within actualizing our innate desire to know God. It wasn't about ritualistic or mindless practice, it was about nourishing your greatest ideal to life and so more and more ones actions became a sincere effort to strive for that ideal and it was born from a place of Love. Jesus had Faith that the Universe communicates with us all in an intimate way and that we're always being taken care of. He taught that perception is over half the battle, again guiding one to their own experience with an intelligent and loving force.
