Title: Mental illness of a spiritual sort.
Post by: Jitendra Hy-do-u-no-us? on Jun 06, 2015 03:12 pm
occasionally in our encounters with other people that are meditating and practicing spirituality we find that there is a degree of mental illness. One of those expressions I've noticed is a messianic personality. When there's an identification with God and feelings of self importance at the sametime....as if there is a divine mission we have towards others. There also is a disportionate recognition that we have need of much help ourselves. I already started a section on mental illness but I think this is a little bit different since the mental illness is somehow entwined with our own spiritual practices.

I believe I didn't coem across this kind of personality, although I came across some saying they had visions of  Babaji or other great saints. From their behaviour, they must have only dreamt about those saints.
