Then inwardly "broadcast" your demand. Thus your message will reach God. But do not stop there. Go on affirming: I and my father are one until his Joy fills your heart and mind. When you let God control you, He awakens you from The Nightmare fears and sorrows of mortal delusion, and causes His ocean of wisdom to flow through the little channel of your mind, expanding it with His omnipresence and immortality.

Spiritual right action will give you the courage and clarity to find your way out of life’s conflicts. Although we do get guidance and protection on this conscious journey homeward .. I find one of the most difficult challenges on the spiritual path is having the wisdom and having the proper discrimination to make the right decisions in life. At these times I often find myself rereading the Self-Realization Fellowship Lessons and going to the beach, the woods or a park to meditate and find direction. I think there is an important function of meditation they left out here that I will add; it is often the process itself that brings spiritual awakening. One finds discovery thru the unfolding process associated with spiritual disciplines. Yogananda says in lesson 79. Human will directed by selfish desire and ignorance bring suffering in trouble you cannot know any lasting happiness until you desire God truth above all things and turn your will toward the never-to-be-given-up search for God. Title: Re: Lesson 76-80 Post by: guest88 on Sep 27, 2019 02:49 am emphasis the never to be given up. why do we fall so hard over and over again? despite knowing better. why is it difficult to stay interested in our own liberation? maybe because the way we think liberation ought to be isn't necessarily the way it is. just questions here...

I often say that if I had no job, I would shake up the whole world so that it would be glad to give me a job to keep me quiet. You must exercise your willpower. If you make up your mind and go forth like a flame 🔥, every obstacle in your path will be consumed. The man of Realization walks safely even where bullets fly, for the divine will is behind him. ~P.Y. |
