He told his people that anyone who was able to keep water in a reservoir would b his minister. No one could do it because at the bottom of the reservoir was a leak and as much water as everyone put in it--- It would leak out again. One man continued for weeks. He eventually saw all the water leaking out himself. However when the water was very low he noticed a hole at the bottom and some jewels were near the hole. The man gave the jewels to the king and went back to the hole and put his hand on it as he filled the reservoir.
The King told him that the jewels were to be given to the new minister of his kingdom and that he was also to inherit his kingdom since he did not have a son to fulfill that purpose.
