Title: practicing (the library)
Post by: guest88 on Aug 22, 2016 11:43 pm
i am practicing writing again after being inspired by the sun tarot story!

i tried describing a picture which i will post after i post the description.... please let me know if its easy to follow or if its boring to you. i appreciate feedback.

thanks!

the library.

in his dreams he is a mystic, adorned with black wings. a golden key suspends in front of his chest, the necklace draped about his garments. he is in his usual place, constructed by the mind, a vast plane where stars and geometrical shapes twinkle in the background.

the mystic is standing by his desk, the only furniture found. the desk is made of a dark wood and is covered with books, loose papers scattered about, trinkets and artifacts perhaps collected from his journey's.

an owl located at the corner of his desk slowly blinks its yellow eyes as the mystic begins to study from a rather large book. the owl ruffles his deep blue feathers and begins to nod off. as the mystic turns the page a soft golden glow appears to emit from the book, illuminating the dark open space and cryptic letters pop into existence tipping to and fro, dancing with joy.

the mystic remains calm, his owl companion undisturbed as the words come together and slither over the loose papers, around the owl and up the mystics back. the astral is a funny place, where imagination reign supreme. the once arcane letters now take form of an ethereal dragon peaking its head over the mystics shoulder.

here the world is different. here man can learn the secrets of his subconscious, accessible once the key is retrieved, this is his library.

Eric, the description is pretty easy to follow but I had to read it twice, being able to fully visualize the scene after seeing the tarot card.
