Spiritual Portal

as a child i believe i was receptive to spirits, animals and out of body experiences. i also think i shut down these senses due to fear and irrational thought patterns. interesting thing about this fear, having an active imagination, it is usually a feeling like someone is out to get me or cause harm. feeling vulnerable to this force could be indicative of perhaps some karma or past life experience... whatever it may be, it has been one of the biggest hurdles and i think i can pin point back to an experience i had as a child where it would be decided to shut down these senses....

meditating as i got older helped things open back up. sometimes i wonder if getting adjusted to society also makes it more difficult as you grow. in either case, i think there was a presence in my room last night. i think my cat noticed it too. i need to learn to conquer this fear and hope it isn't to late. fear is a hindrance to psychic phenomena.
