Title: A Good Listener
Post by: Jitendra Hy-do-u-no-us? on Feb 28, 2017 06:34 am
Meditation makes u a good listener. You can't help but becoming one because the practice of meditation requires exceedingly rare listening skills. Many if not most times u can size up people and situations by listening rather then talking or asking. We find the difficulty associated with listening when we meditate because we constantly carry on conversations in our own heads. So the talking continues even there. If we can find the remote that switches to the off position we suddenly find there is a tremendous amount of things to listen to that are much more pleasant then our inner dialogues.

Seems like you hear the Beloved at this point.

Yes you are rite Eric. The more we can quiet our own mind the more we can hear how the consciousness of GOD sounds. This morning I woke up and felt like doing nothing. I wonder why I feel this way at times.. As I was wondering I started watching my thoughts as you would do in meditation. The practice seems to have an influence on our moment to moment awareness. Suddenly while laying there I noticed my breath and then decided to sit up and watch my breath consciously. All these patterns of practice influence our daily activity. Even our moments in idleness.
