I did not actually see it but I have seen many morning doves in Nevada and out west. I have seen some here as well and I am very used to their sound. It is similar to an owl although not as loud. Next time I hear it here I will go outside and see.. I do not see too many pigeons where I live. It is perculiar but they seem to favor more crowded areas where human food is...Like well used parks.

'The dove is the symbol of “Between Times” and shows us that the veil is thinning between the physical and the spiritual worlds. As you listen with your soul to the doves call, you can hear her mournful song speaks to your deepest parts of self and it will stir both your emotions and your imaginations.

When The Dove shows up in your life it is a powerful time of prophecy and clear vision, and you will be able to see glimpses of the future. If you are seeing doves in your life quite regularly, it is a sign to go within and release the past, present or future things that are troubling you. The Dove carries the energy of promise and when there is turmoil inside if you quite your mind and sit calmly and let your troubled thoughts, words and feelings go, you will be able to receive the gifts of the dove. Then you will begin to heal on all levels – emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually.

The dove’s singing or cooing is very mournful, possibly reflecting hidden emotions within. The singing can be heard throughout the day, as well as first thing in the morning and last thing at night. According to mystical and magical traditions which state that the veils between the physical and spiritual worlds are at their thinnest during these times of the day.'

I usually here these creatures early in the morning and they often inspire me to meditate. There gentle coo coo seems to be a voice from spirit to help calm the thoughts and awaken more subtle levels of awareness.

'A dove helps to soothe and to quiet our worries and your troubled thoughts. Regardless of the external circumstances going on in our life, peace is always within our reach. The Dove will help us to find renewal in the stillness of your mind through meditation and deep breathing. In the quiet moments of stillness, we will be able to find the inner peace and answers that you are searching for in your life.'

The doves are more noticeable this month for me then they have been for a while. The pigeons usually domineer the higher resting points while the doves seem to be more comfortable around the lower, preferably vacant inner workings of our community. Only lately am I noticing them because of the freedom to get out and walk around more.

This morning however was a different story- these birds were acting rather devilishly, swooping down towards my patio and tempting my two cats. One of my cats is a rescue so I think she was looking at them as if they were breakfast and the other has never interacted with a bird but her hunting instincts were in overdrive. Worried they'd tease my kitties right off the ledge of my patio(we're on the 4th story) I had to shoo the birds away and bring the cats inside. Once inside the birds came back just to taunt my cats who could not help but stare at them from the window.  :D

This part speaks to me today,

'A dove helps to soothe and to quiet our worries and your troubled thoughts. Regardless of the external circumstances going on in our life, peace is always within our reach. The Dove will help us to find renewal in the stillness of your mind through meditation and deep breathing. In the quiet moments of stillness, we will be able to find the inner peace and answers that you are searching for in your life.'

I was letting the little things bother me this morning which caused for ill-planning and poor judgement calls giving reason to worry over today's in person job interview. *Fingers crossed* The doves call will remind me to breathe, recenter and the right perspective will give me the strength to try again and give a better performance next opportunity.

Greetings from the Oracle all!

Mourning Dove Animal Totem

♥ The Mourning Dove is a common yet powerful LOVE totem ♥

Doves are sacred to Aphrodite and a slew of other love goddesses around the world.

Doves are a Heart Chakra spirit guide and they come around to ease your heart with their soft cooing.

If you hear doves around your property, home, or work, they are there for you, to support your heart in coming to a place of peace and love. The more doves are around, the more they are needed.

Doves support your inner peace and are commonly known as symbols of peace.

In neolithic matriarchal prehistory, the dove was a prominent symbol of the Great Goddesses of the ancient world, especially Crete and the Sumerian cultures.

So, allow the sweet sounds of the dove to soothe your soul and remind you of that ancient feminine heart-opening presence.

Because doves mate for life, they can also communicate that a lover or companion is coming your way.

Animals are all around us doing amazing spiritual work on all of our behalf.

♥ Open your heart to the dove’s loving medicine ♥

They are here for you, and that is no mistake.

♥ In LOVE ♥

Well those morning doves sure can find places to hide out but today I was watering the garden and heard it's mournful cry again and then I looked up and there it was on top of the telephone pole as if to convey it's message with double impact.

When "Dove" makes an appearance to you it could mean:

People often find that unexpected and unseen support and assistance comes when they need it most.

Travel is often indicated when Dove appears prominently, and this may include relocation to a new home.

A death, either physical (of someone one knows or is close to) or symbolic (within the individual) may occur and while it may bring grief, there is also quite often a sense of relief and gratitude that suffering has finally ended and peace will soon be at hand.

A new relationship may begin or an old one rekindled.

The ways and means of leaving a destructive or difficult situation is at hand. Life is about to become much more peaceful and satisfying on all levels."

We all seek and appreciate grace in our life...it is difficult to extract ourselves from the worlds challenges without God's Grace. Amma talks much about grace to save mother earth. I hope u see her this time Eric!

Mourning doves have multiple references in Bible. This bird is considered as The Holy Spirit that descended on Jesus when he emerged from water. In the story of Noah’s Ark where huge floods destroyed people and property, the dove returned with an olive branch when the floods have died down to convey the message that it was safe to venture out. Hence, the symbol of the dove with a twig signifies hope, reassurance and peace.

Michigan and Wisconsin states consider these birds as a symbol of peace. Even the famous Spanish artist Pablo Picasso has used the dove’s symbol to represent peace in the World Peace Congress that was held in the year 1949. In addition, these birds also depict solidarity and concord due to their dedicated maternal nature.

Post by: Jitendra Hy-do-u-no-us? on Jun 25, 2018 10:36 pm
While seeing Amma i can believe this; White doves are symbols of peace, love, purity, prosperity, and good luck. Doves have been considered signs of luck and associated with spirituality since Noah sent the do…ve out to check for land.

I am seeing amma and under a willow tree hearing a dove and other birds as well.

Doves and pigeons are very important symbols in Native American traditions and culture. Pigeons or doves (both being essentially the same bird) mate for life. Hence they represent monogamy and enduring love.

This is the reason why the Natives used these birds in fertility magic. Doves also represent the Goddess of Love. They were also used for delivering messages. Since the early times, the dove delivered messages to humans from God – including dove and olive branch in the Bible.

The Native Americans, therefore, believed doves to be the Great Spirit’s deliverance and the symbol of forgiveness.

Doves are companions of Venus – the Roman Goddess of Love. Among the Celts, doves are believed to have healing characteristics.

In Ireland, one of the three patron saints – St. Columa – is referred to as the Church Dove. There is the influence of Christianity here and that is why; Celts also believe doves to be symbolic of the Holy Ghost.

Celtic dove meaning is also peace and care for all living creatures. It is also the oracle of God. Dove is also mentioned in connection with the great massacre – the slaughter in which CuChulainn was killed.

The dove asks us to live each day in peace and contentment. It asks us to forget those petty quarrels and, instead, seek deeper connections with the people around us.

It will eliminate all doubts and fears you may have about change. The dove represents your connection to heaven. It tells you: you are looked after by the Universe. Remember: peace and love are the center of your being. And those two things are all that you need in any situation. (10)

Dove totem is an ally that will help you remember the peace and love inside you. What does it mean when a dove visits you? Pay attention to how the sound of your voice may be affecting others.

Observe yourself and notice if your voice is soothing, gentle, or harsh. The dove may be teaching you to align your voice to a sweet low sound that still has the power to get things done.

Considering the care from the parent- and the overall feeling of peace. I believe this visit is to remember the divine guidance in all things, and as it is said above- that peace and love are all we need in any situation.
