If you click on the picture of the ladybug and wasp you can read more of this special influence today.

Here is some suggested meanings taken from a preferred site,
(http://Symbolic Meanings of the Wasp

Unveiling animal symbolism affords us new insight into life, and lessons for life too. Even the wasp has symbolic messages to offer us. Granted, the wasp isn't the top ten most popular animal totem or guide, but do a little research, and you'll find the wasp is a highly regarded symbol in many cultures. Here are some highlights from my own research...I hope you'll enjoy them, and gain new perspective into wasp symbolism from reading.

In some African traditions, the wasp is a symbol of evolution, and control over our life circumstances.
Some Native American Indian tribal myth inidcates the wasp as the creator of the earth, and was a symbol of order, organization as well as productivity.

Ancient European lore recognizes the wasp as big part in pollination. Here the wasp is symbolic of fertility as this genre of earth-based believers honored the wasp for its role in continuation of certain plants and flowers.)

The wasp is such a beautiful Creature. And all I can think is, Devotion.
WASP is the powerful female warrior and shamanic healer, prompting us to take a good look at our lives and ask if we are fighting the good fight. If you are stung by Wasp, it's her way of saying, "Wake up! Do your spiritual work! To Thine own self be true!" She confers great protection to those wise enough to give her space to do her thing, and does not stand for her sacred nest being disturbed. Her compassion is the highest form of compassion, which assists others in learning the difficult lessons of power and humility. Anyone gifted with Wasp's female warrior Medicine must cultivate HUMILITY, for to use the Sting for purposes of the ego is a grave mistake. Only those committed to peace may walk with power of the Sting in the left hand. Her intense and alternating stripes of yellow and black symbolize duality, Yin and Yang, extremes which, when alchemized in the Heart, create a transcendentally beautiful whole. Wasp show up when we're learning to bridge the duality of LIFE AND DEATH, around the time of a birth or death, a life-affirming transformation, or a personal healing crisis. She is serious but teaches us to laugh at ourselves. When you face the big issues of life and death, worrying aout anything less is truly laughable!!!! :D
Steve, please let me know you see this.
Here is your medicine, my friend.

Yes thanks Eric i will comtinue studying the medicine u gave me Doctor. I was not stung doctor just chased about you know. Funny thing here...i remember a nest of wasps setting up home in the back of one of my vans years ago. I vould think of no way to get rid of their 'sacred home' but to spray it with water. They were very unhappy with me and i was fortunate i was not stung. Doctor do you think the dosage you perscibed may have been quite high?

On the contrary, perhaps we should up the dosage. A sting upon the buttocks may suffice.

thank you for the hornet thread, i was thinking that's what i encountered recently but thanks to a little research online i think i was catching the european paper wasp.
mom found one in the house i caught it in a small rag, the entire rag was vibrating. i think the wasp was grateful i let it out. later in the day, the same thing happened. this time it was smoother. and then this morning, a perfectly preserved wasp lay dead at the bottom of the stairwell. i thought that was curious.

meditating in the backyard this morning, i saw the beautiful red wasp's surveying the open yard. one approached me in its curiosity and simply went about its business. so lovely. i hope to absorb/assimilate this medicine for the greater good- peace & love.
