hope you didn't find the bruce lee video offensive.  Grin
i have been reading this chapter for the past couple of days and will take just a snippet from it and share it here...

"The effect of love is pain. The love that has no pain is no love. The lover who has not gone through the agonies of love is not a lover, he claims love falsely. 'What love is it that gives no pain? Even if one were crazy in love it is nothing.' The pain of love is the lover's pleasure, his very life. The lack of pain is his death. Amir, the Hindustani poet, says, 'Thou wilt remember me after I am dead, O my pain in love, for I have given thee place all through life in my tender heart, and have fed thee with my flesh and blood.' Everybody can speak of love and claim to love, but to stand the test of love and to bear the pain in love is the achievement of some rare hero. The mere sight of love's pain makes the coward run away from it. No soul would have taken this poison if it had not the taste of nectar.

He who loves because he cannot help it is the slave of love, but he who loves because it is his only joy is the king of love. He who, for the sake of love, loves someone who falls short of his ideal is the ruler of love. And he who can seal his heart full of love in spite of all attraction on the part of the beloved is the conqueror of love.

Those who have avoided love in life from fear of its pain have lost more than the lover, who by losing himself gains all. The loveless first lose all, until at last their self is also snatched away from their hands. The warmth of the lover's atmosphere, the piercing effect of his voice, the appeal of his words, all come from the pain of his heart. The heart is not living until it has experienced pain. Man has not lived if he has lived and worked with his body and mind without heart. The soul is all light, but all darkness is caused by the death of the heart. Pain makes it alive. The same heart that was once full of bitterness, when purified by love becomes the source of all goodness. All deeds of kindness spring from it."

I find it interesting to see where mercury is in a persons chart because it shows how their mental processes work. Mercury just entered aquarius which is symbolic of mental examination according to one author.

Hi Steve,
So as long your understanding links you to God, the divine or any path to discovery I donít think thereís necessarily a fix answer to this. That being said I understand synchronicity as a certain level of awareness and communion with God. It is an unspoken language with more than one meaning. I understand dejavu(something I seem to experience all the time) as less special and more a playing of the mind. Like being conscious of a similar event previously stored in the banks of ones subconscious. Just my opinion on the matter.

For me deja vu is much more then experiencing a similar moment but as it has been explained to me by other friends and by myself: it is THE EXPERIENCE of having been in a particular time and place before. Not a SIMILAR time and place.

Tonite i talked with Art about synchronicity and deja vu. We both have a similar feeling that they're both spiritual experiences... with Deja Vu, maybe being a little bit more important but synchronicity is also a way of telling us that we're doing the right thing at the right time as well as deja vu.

Sometimes we wake up in a funk and our entire vibe is thrown off. This could be the result of an imbalance within ourselves... Other times it seems there's something wrong with everyone else and Life is trying to get us involved in the mess around us.

We carry moods percolating in our subconscious from past lives as well as this one. We have created all 'funky'
situations. We also carry vibes from others around us who we associate with. There is also a dark force that works against the light. Usually this force does not have to put much effort into blocking our soul progress. There are so many desires and illusions we are caught up in that its more advantageous for this force to make believe it isn't real and so it can keep working unknowingly in our lives without our conscious recognition or acknowledgement..

If Love and Compassion are to be considered in ones Spiritual practice, perhaps it is important to keep close to friends and family. Even in Strangers and even perhaps, with enemies. While it isn't always easy to practice Love I feel the more we Strive to keep a level head in the name of Love or Compassion or the more we strive to Learn God(should this be a goal) the more insight we have to trivial human affair. We see how emotions and ego play out in our social circles. So what happens when a close friend lashes out at you because their ego was challenged? What if they cut you off? Would you then put up your own walls? I feel many traveling a Spiritual path have witnessed or even been on the receiving end of similar experience. While it may seem petty to us, do we scoff at the situation? Certainly not. Do we accept blame for upsetting someone? I don't think this is always right either. Yet explaining to someone why you know they're upset doesn't seem a viable solution either. And what about your own emotions? Do you get riled up because you learned something about your friend or family member you may have never considered? What if that person threatens you with their Love? How upsetting is that? Having the insight to a situation can help lessen the blow, it may even prove entertaining at times but if we're pulled into someone else's emotion what is the appropriate response- if it's important to keep your own heart open and keep people close??? We aren't perfect ourselves, we don't always vibe with our friends or family... Yet if we want to practice Love and Compassion... How would you respond when you've given someone close to you a wrong impression, or you witness them reacting off of something you yourself see as trivial??? I think having insight is wonderful but if you aren't humble with the knowledge you may lose those you wish to keep close.
Not sure if I'm going in circles here... Ok then.
