You are funny. I meant poplar. Its a type of birch tree that grows a lot along Lake Michigan. The leaves flicker in the sunlite
or Moonlite as the wind blows thru them. Do people swim on the inland lakes? Wow i wonder if you can sit and meditate in
the caves?

LOL!! Sorry i don't know a lot about trees but think we have those kinds here! Yes people can swim on inland lakes we got some very nice beaches along the lake they are more beautiful in Bayfield! Sure you can mediate in the caves i would love to check this out one of these days!!
Thanks for sharing so much about the place u call home. My relationship with trees began with the Weeping Willow. It brings back some kind of recollection. Perhaps form a past life living in the south. Regardless of what it is, u can sit comfortably under the huge trunk of an Oak Tree and meditate in the midwest. Paramahasa blessed a Pepper Tree at Mount Washington in L.A. i have had some nice meditations there. i was silenced for almost two days in the Redwood trees of Northeren California and now i spend quite an amount of time under the Salt Cedar trees that reside in the California and Nevada deserts. The Poplar is a tree i remember from the beaches of Michigan. There r places where i go with a friend of mine who also meditates and we have had wonderful expereinces meditating under the poplar trees.
