i agree that god is moving and speaking through us and sometimes there are moments where even a strangers words were just what you needed to hear. one of the most beautiful experiences is playing witness to the harmonious moment of both inner and outer.
hearing guides. well... that's all in perspective. i've only rarely heard physical words like my name being whispered or things that don't make immediate sense. see guidance in dreams, sight and the waking life. through impulse or gentle nudges that steer you towards a hearts direction

perhaps we're always communicating with God and our guides but have only a limited awareness that leaves us questioning- how often, how much, in what manner. from the smallest to the largest, communication is happening 24/7 ALL is divine whether you acknowledge it as such or not.
the beauty of it is in the interpretation of the individual and the life he or she lives through out.
