((( Love&Hugs&OM ))) yoshi The kleshas are responsible for all the miseries of the world. For instance we associate everything around us as 'mine'; 'my sister', 'my car' and 'my house'. This is 'Asmita' or ego. Consciousness does not do this. Since u and Namaste2All have the book 'God talks to Arjuna' my hope is that we can continue this conversation with whoever is interested. Asmita gives us a sense of separation or ego consciousness. We think I am 'this' instead of I am the soul or parusha.

3.Karna-Attachment 4.Vikarna-Repulsion
We like things and r repulsed by other things. Feelings get us more and more into the drama. Repulsions and attractions bind us. If u hate someone it is very difficult to give it up. When we really forgive someone we forget it. Hate attracts like love. So it is to our benefit to forgive. The less u r attached the more it is like water off a ducks back.

Forgiveness was mentioned in this thread and, if it is no bother, I would like to add my thoughts.
It is true, that forgiveness will always be to our benefit, even though the simpler mind may have trouble understanding how. When we forgive somebody who has wronged us, it's not that we are saying "what you did was right". We are simply choosing not to be attached to the event and emotions of hate and anger. It takes much more work to forgive and to actually try to understand the reasons for another person's actions; just the way we would want our own reasons to be understood for anything we have ever done wrong.
Although the event of a person seriously harming a loved one, for example, is very hard to deal with.. it is foolish to call this "impossible" to forgive. It may take a stronger heart and mind for someone to do this, but nonetheless, forgiveness is ALWAYS superior to repulsion and resentment, and will ALWAYS benefit us more than any revenge or "eye-for-eye" justice ever can.
When we learn to forgive in our hearts, we do the justice of the Universe tenfold

ya...forgiveness is very important to both soul and body
it hinders soul from progress and causes disease and body harm....stress/anxieties....

In God Talks to Arjuna PY discusses the Kleshas or troubles of existence that God is untouched by:
1.Kripa-Individual delusion (avidya) Maya or cosmic delusion 2.Bhishma-Ego (Asmita)
1. Delusion that we r separate from God
2. Delusion that we r the body; ego consciousness
We get caught up in creation and cling to life. We believe this is the highest form of life to b experienced. We get caught up in the drama of creation. 'i want this. i do not want that. Take it away.' Some times the things we pick do not bring us happiness.

Klishas: any of the five hindrances to enlightenment, which are ignorance or avidya, egocentricity, attachments, aversions, and the instinctive will to live.
