Dreams pass into the reality of action. From the actions stems the dream again; and this interdependence produces the highest form of living. Nighty Night

i am not sure what u meant by this Elfun or what someone else meant by it. Yet i have had some very vivid dreams of people i have known in the past recently. i wonder just how much they think of me. They apparently had a great affect on my life. So in a sense the dream of having them in my life created actions in 'reality' between us and then i dreamed about them again much later. i am thinking they must be a part of my past episodes in lives prior and who knows how many times we have revisited. It seems like just yesterday that we were with these people when we have such vivid dreams. There is really a timelessness about such friendships.

Dreams can show us the path we followed that took us somewhere our soul is warning us not to go again. In a sense dreams can be our soul guidance. They can review life events and help us to not make the same mistakes and trip up where we have before. They are somewhat of a profile of our life events. A look into what we our unconscious of. A look into the corridors of our life and the possible scenarios for the future.

Are we dreaming now? Ramana Maharshi said the only difference between the waking and the dreaming state is that wakefulness lasts long and dreams are short. He said that we create a new body when we dream. As long as there is a sense of "I" hood there will be karma whether it is in this body or another body or another plane of consciousness.
source: Teachings of Ramana Maharshi
i woke up to dreams of energizing and it inspired me to get up and actually practice them in the physical. We can carry our spiritual practices into our dream within a dream-our nite excursions into sleepland.

If you dream and want to know the meaning of it – as you waken ask “what is the meaning of it?” but you have to wake up and not go to sleep.

I'll have to do that Sometimes I hear music when i am dreaming and wake up. The challenge is to stay awake long enough to record the workings of the inner life.

hi mccoy... this is normal... they say the average number of dreams we experience in one night is 5. if you wish to remember your dreams you can start with ritual. create the intention. tell yourself before you go to bed you will remember your dreams. keep a journal and record whatever happens. the best time to record is right away... so if you wake up to pee, try to recall what you were just experiencing. the more you enforce this mentality and practice, the clearer things become. this has worked for me in the past.

Good suggestions cosmic goat, although I'm afraid I would loose my notebook after starting this activities, since I've so many things at hand that it's good I still remember my birthdate.
But if I can give a purpose to that I might take the time, might it bring a benefit to spiritual life to work, or such?

the benefit for me is understanding. sometimes dreams will show me in an exaggerated sense how i react or have reacted to a particular situation. i guess this is how i've translated the experience.. they speak to us our desires and tendencies, hidden nature and things of this sort... i don't think my dreams have ever accurately described or provided insights to another persons life though. also it's hard to have a detached perspective because our emotions are often intermingled- something we need to remember when interpreting our dreams also if you dream about someone doing something behind your back that doesn't make it true there is more, but i think what i described is more on the surface level of the dream world
