Placing one's awareness on the breath is a powerful way to connect with our body, with our inner world. Placing awareness on the breath is the only way to be released from this sickness of the mind.

Elfun I think about how this statement is so true about me and probably most of us. meditation is so difficult for many of us; we dwell on the past and worry about the future so much. how can we be in the now and recognize the current blessings? in meditation we have a powerful tool for practicing being in the present with ourselves and others and releasing ourselves from the sickness of the mind.
