people are losing patience to listen and hear what others say. To imbibe what other people are saying our minds must be silent. each person is eagerly waiting for the other to stop talking so we can cut in yet sometimes our own minds and tongues are in different places. our thoughts are always racing into the past and into the future. It is not enough to listen with the ears we must listen with our eyes and hearts as well.
it is fine to have discussions but not arguments. we have many meetings but our hearts do not meet. love has many levels just like a ladder. we must also realize that giving other people the silent treatment and sticking our nose up in the air is a form of mental illness.
there was a group of porcupines they were trying to survive a cold winter. every time they got close together they felt the sharpness of each other's quills. :-) finally they decided to stick together. they survived the cold winter because they endured each others pain.
