I just wondered..... why do people love those who do not love them and then are not in love with those people who love them?
I have been thinking about this for some time and came to the conclusion that we really should not keep fooling ourselves. we should just recognize that some people are just not going to be good for us. or at the very least get a grasp on the limitations of the relationship. some people just hold on to impossible dreams with other people. sometimes I see myself as 1 of those some people.
why do people keep on going on torturing themselves in their attempt to stay with somebody that's untenable; like holding on to an untenable position. or dream a dream to be with someone that is unrealistic for them? this subject has a lot of facets so I just thought I'd throw out the initial questions for now and see if anybody's responsive to it.

Ranger Rick comon squirrel that sounds so contrived. At least you used a euphemism instead of having the obvious 'pr' in front of the word. my apologies i need to explain something to you.... Often the computer does not connect to towers when i am traveling so i have to use the cell phone when i connect to the internet. When i do this the commands i can use are limited and it often leads to a host of issues. The best thing i can do is wait till the computer connects again and then clear up some of the issues. Please consider thinking the best of someone before thinking the worst. Sorry... Steve Hey Jitendra !
taking a shortcut brother ?
your reply in my post ?
do you mind ? well, I do
MOST confusing
can you tidy it up and put your reply in a seperate box ?
thanx !
then you can delete this post of mine

O.K. No one is going to answer my question now. Accept Squirrel who usually sheds a lightness on these kind of subjects. Perhaps he thinks it is helpful to lift the gravity.
i have come up with an answer for myself though: It is best to be grateful for the love others have for you even though you might not be able to return it in a way that they would so desire. and..... not expect others to return love to you in the way you would like.
All you can do is work on yourself and notice the reactions that are coming from you from feeling 'hurt' or not getting what you want. Maybe that is part of the spiritual lesson anyhow.
It often seems to me that our spiritual guides do not have much sympathy for our personal desires. This world can be a very frustrating place if we are not aware of the spiritual purpose we are here for. Most of the human race are intent on satisfying personal desire and creating new desires in the process with no perception that it is desire that causes an endless chain of karma and cycle of rebirth on the earth plane. i am just grateful to have a few personal desires satisfied or understood. In reflection it has showed me much about the people that come into my life and their motives. When i have found others that genuinely care about me i find the hand of God clearly working behind their actions.

The mind gets corrupted when allowed to roam freely on it's own. guess i should keep my signature/squirrel/sunglasses on to keep this from happening.
