! O= i love the green !!

 Smiley

Colors are beautiful and significant: Just like everything else that comes into our lives. Think  if this picture show we call life was all in black and white. Yet black also has the meaning of defining. We often have to make an unambiguous statement. Black helps us see clear enough to do so. That is why I see black as very helpful. By contrast we see clearer and leave people with no doubt.

Yet green is full of growth and love. It is associated with health creativity, abundance and nature. It gives energy.  Green is the color of the heart chakra. Green also brings harmony: an important element od group dynamics.

I see that many of you like the change of color this time. I've always liked pastel colors.
the inner colors we see during meditation are often  much more beautiful than outer  colors of the world. They are mixed and have various hues and rings around each other. I see them by practicing chakra exercises given by various masters. it takes a bit more practice to see those colors and I don't see them regularly but it is enjoyable experience when they appear stronger. one can experience their reality by gazing into the Sun just before it sets or just before it rises. at these times the ultraviolet rays are not so dangerous to the eyes. after gauging into the Sun then you close your eyes and you can see the image still retain itself in the inner eye. you sit, gaze and meditate upon this light for as long as it remains in your consciousness. Then remain in the peace afterwards. This is true of candles as well!

Although purple seems very appropriate for the aims of the Spiritual Portal website, I like the chakra symbolism of green.  I feel Love may be the most important emotion to develop in oneself and express to others.  And releasing emotional trauma is key, I think, to heal oneself and be able to Love oneself and others.  Yes, the green color here is a good choice!

Seeing lite and color during meditation is an important element. sometimes what we imagine to see or hear becomes more apparent and realistic as time goes on. imagination is the start of all things in beauty art and dance. So it has its basis in religion and spirituality also. sometimes it is good to ask ourselves what we do imagine because we do it constantly:  consciously or unconsciously.

it is interesting to observe the rainbow spectrum after a rainstorm !

To experience the subtle light (or sound) vibrations within our Being is even moreso !
-- the reflection of where our consciousness and energy are flowing within our Being
(so simple)

(as phenomena, it)
may prove useful hint, guidepost, or tool,
yet may distract and cause a lingering if mistaken for Goal...
(if we become satisfied with seeing or feeling the echos in the subtle sheaths of our garment flowing, and become long delayed like at an amusement along the highway to our final destination.)

in and of itself,
seems we not directly strive for,
moreso gently accept as the breeze...

it is significant that the Rishis state that while these are significant,
some great saints may not experience the phenomena much,
yet the saints are emersed in the Divine Compassions in service, and life itself...
(interesting isn't it... )

For many decades of meditation I was basically in darkness in an internal visual sense. So when I see any type of light now i immerse myself in it. However I also tried to immerse myself in the darkness and enveloped myself in it. I was just thinking O.K. if this is what I am being given; I accept it because I have faith in the meditation the Masters taught me.

Going beyond all frames of reference and guideposts probably seems remote for most of us. Yet we can also immerse ourselves in peace, bliss or love and sound: Or in our prayers and meditation techniques. Some of us immerse ourselves in God's presence in the service of others. I'm probably just saying the same things you said Namaste2All just in different words.

Thanks for sharing.

( I as well gazed into the meditative darkness for decades, yet found some peace from the practice, so I continued )
It is interesting that the light which I observed essentially once, but so vividly in those early years decades ago,
Well, my mind (I) had discounted it as just some physiological or mental construct, not so much of any spiritual sign-post,...

yet decades later, when my sadhanna really re-emerged so deeply,
that same light pattern emerged and could essentially be experienced at-will via a specific yogic practice.
It was only then that I was able to understand it was a sign-post and absorb some of it's meaning.

Then it evolved to other experiences of light, sound, and other evidences /' observations...
and each of them holds unique and distinct purpose, and I continue to observe and contemplate them,
(as I do the weather, and the birds and life)
but the experiences are very personal, and I am shy to share much more at this time, in such a public forum...

************
And you and I are in agreement...

(for me) it's not "Going beyond all frames of reference and guideposts" --
moreso, just being gently mindfull I not become magnetized or hypnotized by them.
(just accepting them as a really majestic and welcome sign.  Like when driving thru desert and see Joshua Tree... it's fine to gaze and reflect upon it, but if we stay too long we delay getting to the Pacific Ocean, etc.  And I know from my little experience swimming in the Pacific Ocean that it is yet beyond compare for me.  And yet, we must practice contentment with the present moment and place, and not rush past significant symbols and signs, etc. )

that's kinda what I'm trying to share of my experience, what I've been thru... it's not necessarily the same for us all,... just sharing and discussing...

With all events,
whether everyday human events or deep subtle events,
the key seems to remain in gentle heart nucleus of Being -- just observing from that platform (the key word is "observing")...
because God seems so very shy, and seems if we make a big deal of a more subtle or spiritual miracle, then God kinda dissipates as the morning mist under the rising Sun's heat...
(its seems our over-attention, our excitement, and grasping is kinda like the action of the Sun upon the mist)

( I have to admit, when I've had some experiences in deep meditation, that it was unexpected... therefore, I was kinda shocked and lost that ability to just remain gently observing,... and yes, the experience drifted away,... yet, the next time that experience occurred, I was able to remain with it a bit longer, next time a bit longer...  so it's also kind of getting used to observing the signs and guideposts, because it can be kinda a strange experience at first, kinda unexpected.   I've talked to some other devotees and they relate the same type of 'reaction' and eventual getting used to the subtle realm signs and guideposts.)

(for me), I often notice that the mind likes to put a 'label' or 'explanation' to these sublime experiences.   And it takes a while in that regard as well to get the mind assimilated and quieted, so it's not trying to explain or understand, but just accepts the soothing affect, etc.   But that seems a natural process, and I am kinda getting used to just observing that process as well... (hmmmnnn...)

************
Of these vibratory centers, and their light and sound echos, etc.

It seems ever apparent that there are sheaths (or layers or such) in our apparatus or field (our body and mind)...
(and these colors are great example !)

what is interesting in meditation is that focusing and going deeper does not necessarily mean leaving behind, or destroying the less sublime sheaths...

it is just that we kinda seem to go deeper,
we are "aware of" All of it,
but are not distracted by any of it...

I am a novice in so many ways...
the key seems the consistent effort,

to release, and go deeper
(intensity of focus and devotion and such)...
we can be very 'intense', yet the body and mind be configured very relaxed and pliable...
(and that's an interesting thing to observe)...

the key also seems that each beamlet expresses unique,
we each have different portions or timelines upon which the map expressed by the Ancient Rishis and Saints expresses...
just like there are so many types of flowers...
(some even blossom in winter or in the snow)
the diversity is part of the elegant simplicity expressing...

Cheers...

thanks for sharing some time with us Namaste2All and sharing some of your inner realities!
it inspires some of our own. it is quite a post and I'll be reading it again!
I noticed you mentioned the Pacific Ocean. I am there now; parked beside the beach.. listening to the lap of the waves against the shore. we have shared so much. there's much to be grateful for.the sound of the ocean is like the sound  of om. it soothes the consciousness. I will appreciate iit a few last times before I travel. I am getting sleepy but I'm going to get out of the truck and energize even though it's late. you inspired me!  Hope to see you soon my friend so we can share life again.
share  nature ... share meditation share God's presence!

every human being is unique and beautiful and learning how to open up to another persons personality is a wonderful journey in discovery
am i living this enlightened truth every moment ? far from
but in the process you learn not only from the unique soul sharing with you but you learn something about yourself( the spiritual journey i suppose! Smiley )
lately i've been glued to the anthony bourdain series parts unknown... being unable to travel in such a manner i think i live a bit vicariously through anthony, dreaming of how wonderful it would be to travel and meet different people and enjoy delicious food and drinks for a living.
what is wonderful is the intimate relationship his show provides in helping you discover and learn from people all over the world, and what life is like for them. i love this show.

what a pleasure it is to be ! to learn from and interact with others. even in all of our varying beliefs, developing empathy and a humbling respect for another has been both a challenge and a blessing.

Nomaste Eric

Yes i thought it would b a good time to change the look. i was experimenting with Shannon's art and found that lite brown seemed to go best with her use of colors on these paintings. i believe we r quite fortunate to have such a talented artist let us use her paintings for our forum free of charge. It is interesting to see the animate life she gives to these art works. i took the liberty of putting them at the top of the forum. So far she has let me keep them there. i left it to three paintings because Babaji is rite in the center staring into your inner being. i hope everyone knows that u can put your cursor on each separate painting and see them enlarged.
