i shared these thoughts elsewhere but would like to paste here what i've written hoping someone can help shed some light on my confusion. the more i try to find a reason or an answer the harder it feels. my question was, how does nature know ? is it a human quality to derrive meaning in every little thing we experience- how is it though when sometimes we aren't looking for or expecting an answer to something- universe, nature, god- spirit seems to respond acknowledging our very personal internal self. is it that we make meaning out of the experience the non-coincidence. it's so confusing here's what i wrote
last night i was communicating some of my insecurities directly to the person i had been getting uncomfortable with. we were outside. after lifting this heavy weight of fear and anger off i immediately recognized the shooting star behind him. wow i couldn't believe it. i felt in that moment- universe was acknowledging me. like a wink from god. saying, good job. i almost cried. i know it's just a shooting star. it exist in its own. others that saw it had their own unique experience. but i know there was a message in it and it spoke to me.
so my question is how does nature do this. time and time again i'll experience these nudges from an outside force recognizing my inner turmoil. even at times when i'm not looking for any particular answer.
it's the synchronicities, the gentle nudges of our unseen friends- to many odd occurrences.
it makes you feel special and you wonder why when the world is so big how can nature communicate with us in this way- even when we aren't looking for answers ?
i'm baffled and extremely grateful for my shooting star- its beautiful encouragement
and at exactly the right moment in time just a little confused- i don't have the answers... i don't know

....and if there was no significance found. If the consciousness excepted it all as coincidence? If there was no sbjective reality that spoke of a spiritual connection. Then what?

mmm i don't think it'd be any fun then
but this doesn't answer my question and to be honest i didn't expect an answer when making the post but i wanted to share because its been confusing me i'm not sure what to say other then i'm finding it hard to answer steve i don't even know where i'm really comin from phrasing this
i'm trying to determine between what we make into something or the actual speaking spirit of everything that is acknowledging it us

I wonder what Lucky or someone else would come up with? We also have some new members. I wonder if they feel that nature responds to them? Or perhaps God is speaking thru nature in a shy indirect way.

That was quite an explanation! Sometimes your insights are so helpful! The intellect is quite developed in one such as yourself so often I find myself rereading your stuff to understand what you are stating. Your approach has always been rather indirect and non confrontational.
You often use scientific explanations. Its your approach. I used to be more like that. But I became somewhat dissolutioned by what I percieve as the only approach to life and phenomena that I have found many scientists take. Sometimes it doen't work to well but that does not mean that just because a scientific explanation is not presently forthcoming we can't find that things we cannot quantify and classify do not have validity.
