Have you had some remarkable experiences with psychics? I intend this thread to be a place where we can discuss our experience with psychics.

i met a psychic monk by the name cau chin. he gave me a reading and told me i had some anger issues and told me my lucky number was 8 and that i'd meet my soul mate in this life. a lot of it is true while there were other things i didn't really care for. what i felt was most significant from the reading was the emotional response i had. during the reading i kept my knee touching his knee. he was saying things really fast and letting his hands play with a deck of cards. he would then quickly tell me what major things would happen as i got older(he would shuffle the cards and say, 17,18,19 20 kinda skimming each year of my life), like a car accident in my 20's. he told me my grandma was next to me during the reading(she's dead). as i became attuned to his fast but gentle speaking- just near the end of our read i started to cry.
maybe it was because i wanted something to happen.

after he gave the reading to my friend and i he had his apprentice get in my car and direct us to a temple to receive blessing/pray and drink holy water. he tied a red string around our wrist then gave us each a bottle of water and told us to take a sip from it once every day for seven days.

It was a rainy evening in eastern Michigan and I was driving to Brighton. Under an expressway I saw a man standing there seeming to be taking shelter from the rain. I stopped and asked him if he was okay and needed a ride and he said yes. he told me he was going to Ypsilanti Michigan however I was going to Brighton and I was going to perform there that night. I told him that if he wanted to come along I would drive him to Ypsalanti after I was done performing in Brighton.  he told me that he would like to do that.

After I was done working I drove towards Ypsilanti. He told me he lived with a lady that he helped keep her house and yard in shape and that she was a psychic. I became interested and he told me I could stay the night and meet her in the morning.

In the morning I asked her some questions and she told me that she worked mainly for the police force; finding missing and lost people and solving unsolved crimes. I  asked her for more details. She told me that she would hold an object like for instance keys of somebody that might be missing and 'see' images and pick up where they might be... then  police officers  could find them after that.

I told her it was an interesting way of making a living and seemed  like something the a lot of people would like to be gifted with. She told me that really that was not the case. In fact, she would rather get out of doing it.  I asked her why and she said that many times when she saw these images, where these people were, she would feel a lot of pain because she'd  felt what they felt to find out where they were. In the process sometimes a lot of them were encountering rmuch pain and suffering in their experiences.....

Continuation.....After getting to know this woman a bit she said she would like to see me perform. She came out and listened one nite and i played this song called 'You are an Expression' . I mentioned that i had written the song. When i went to sit down on a break she said : " You know that song you said you wrote...you didn't write that song." I replied : " Then who did ?" She drew a picture on a piece of paper of a a spirit and then told me: " He wrote the song and was standing behind you the whole time you played the song."

I told her i believed her because of the inspiration and inner contentment associated with the music especially. It 'flowed' out of me as from an inner source.

I was able to spend time with her and found out something that ever since i have found to b true of other psychics. That is; they may b psychic about others but have a harder time being psychic about their own personal lives. Perhaps this is a generalization and not always applying. Yet it seems like when we are personally involved it can b a challenge to b psychic about those who we  are intimate with.

i think this is much like asking are any other talents someone may have spiritual.
You can be a musicuan, a dancer, a plummer or a psychic and not be spiritual.
Doesn't it boil down to where and who you acknowledge as the giver of gifts or if you do acknowledge anyone accept yourself?

It seems to me as thinking of ourselves as the doer leads to ego and ego leads to the death of spirituality and eventually the dissipation of gifts and talents.

As i got to know her i found she had relationship challenges. I asked if she used her psychic abilities to find answers to them. She told me that even though she helped others she wasn't able to use her abilities for personal use......It is hard to separate yourself from the personal nature of a relationship to use psychic powers for solutions.

It appears to me that spirituality, introspection, prayer, experience and psychology are better to solve challenges in relationships. What do you think?

One woman that i met revealed much to me about psychics and the hazards in being a psychic. i have included my experience here with her starting from Reply#2 above. As with any gift or talent given by spirit there are challenges that come with them. Finding out the challenges often takes quite a lot of glamour away from the blessings since we experience the sacrifices and responsibilities that also are part of the grace given.
