Hello Steve,
I changed the name to kingfisher111 now. I think the spirit of this beautiful bird must have a special resonance with my soul. 111 is a sacred number to me I have noticed since beginning a spiritual awakening about 13 years ago.

yes 111 is a strong number...signifying the father, son and holy ghost. I often notice when > 3 is there, and comes up. Everything, including numbers, in life has purpose and meaning. It is just to what extent we notice. You say you changed your name. Can we expect you to answer to your other name as well? The bird is certainly lovely. For sometime i had a fascination with the owl. It came apparent when I was at a friends house and reached behind the couch and saw a huge picture. I pulled it up. It was the most beautiful picture of an owl. Recognizing my keen interest and fascination with the bird my friend said: "You like that picture don't you." I could not hide my consternation and said "yes". He said: "Well i can't use it here. You can have it." I do not think he recognized the truth of his statement. Within a year my friend died and it was an omen. Sometimes we find our purpose and the purpose of encounters much different than we originally understood. I realized my purpose with him was much different than playing in a band. It was to play a small part in his transition. The owl, representing death and rebirth.

I just found this from a quick google search:
"The Kingfisher (the Australian Kookaburra is of this family) is a symbol of peace and prosperity. The Kingfisher is the promise of abundance -- its blue plumage is associated with Jupiter, the planet of abundance.
People with a Kingfisher totem need to live as near as possible to water and as far north as possible. They have a knack of teaching their children how to enjoy life and how to prosper at the same time.
If a Kingfisher comes into your life, you might be required to dive headlong into some activity -- or possibly a new love will enter your life. No matter what it is, don't be afraid of trying the new. Kingfisher will be there to guide you. You won't drown -- and you will have sunshine, love and abundance!"
I like this totem explanation. I want peace and prosperity and I do love children and hope to raise my own someday.
Also, I've been thinking about moving closer to the ocean, possibly the north west, so this totem explanation make this future possibility seem good.
Steve, the other name was less thought out, a reference to the Robin Williams movie called The Fisher King ("Robin" is a bird also) which I like.

To Art;
We as humans can always improve ourselves. We can take criticism and turn it into a positive force of change for ourselves. Sometimes I see that happening here at the portal.
No one should be seen as right or wrong. We are all learning from one another. Ofcourse we are more receptive to those who give us love. Yet we can also learn from those who cannot or will not love us.
QUOTE FROM ART: " I just wrote back the person who inspired me to write in this thread & forum....."

Art it is so nice to have you with us. Please take the opportunity to put some of your music back at the top of the forum. If mine is in the way knock it out. Start with 'Demian'. It has been there for sometime. i especially enjoy your posts and seem to miss you even though we have not met physically. Must be a connection of sorts; not sure how or where. Would like to explore and understand.

I would agree with you about that. I have noticed also that 11:11 often has come up as something significant happens during the day. I just glance over to the clock and it is 11:11 in the morning or evening. I hope you continue to add your input about Vedic astrology it is appreciated! And the portal appears excitingly different since you returned.

It is a trip to read a response something I wrote seven years ago, in which I am talking about some thing that happened 13 years before that!
What a mind twister! What time seems to be LOL
Thank you for the warm welcome Steve! I look forward to talking about Vedic astrology and both of our charts. Actually, I realize I should’ve asked for your permission first to share publicly what I see in your chart. Are you OK with me sharing what I see in your chart on the appropriate thread Steve?

Well I’ll put it this way. Used to have an astrology mentor of sorts in my early 20’s . Sometimes she would tell me things that I didn’t think were correct but so many other times she was right on target. I never took offense to the times I felt she was incorrect. You know very few of us are infallible. But the mistake I think I sometimes have made is to suggest to people about their charts and instead of reacting as I did … just passing it off as occasional mistakes in the way she said or saw things… others have taken it very personally so now I’m a bit reluctant to tell anyone what i see without their asking or me sugar coating what I see so others aren’t offended. But yes I appreciate everything someone has to say about my chart and I may say I don’t see it that way but I believe I am not affected by the personal views of others. Often criticism both ‘good’ and ‘bad’ is helpful on the spiritual path. And so that is probably why I’m a bit quieter about saying what I see. I’ve learned it is not always seen favorably by others.
