Eating meat creates a heavy material vibration. It causes mood swings and agressive behavior. It destroys spiritual perceptions. It blocks the free flow of food in the body and irritates the body causing increased sexuality followed by impotency. It causes gout and artheritis. It is one of the main causes of heart attacks and heart related deseases because of cholestral.

Hi Steve.
I don't think becoming a vegetarian will cure mood swings or aggressive behavior. I stand by my beliefs that it's okay to eat meat.

I do believe though, too much or too little of anything yields undesirable results.

I hope you don't feel I was targeting you by sharing my findings earlier. I had the opportunity to discuss with my sister and she didn't feel the doctor was being aggressive or pushy. He was simply sharing his findings from a new study found from being a long term vegetarian. I'll leave it at that because I don't want to argue what's right for you. I respect your beliefs and feel I owe you a follow up to my last post. Wink

Cheers! Cheesy odddddDdDDDDDangggGg out!!

Apparently no one showed your sister findings from all the great yogis thru the centuries. They have advised a vegetarian diet. I am thankful to say i have not seen a doctor since being asked to as a teen ager. That doctor gave me the wrong advice also.  Fortunately I have followed the spiritual advice of the Masters instead.

I also was prescribed blood pressure pills at one time. The yogi Masters helped me and I no longer take them. Ofcourse the 'doctors' have no explanation for this cure. Compared to the wisdom of the Masters western medicine is in its infancy.

You do not have to be agressive or pushy to talk ignorance. But you can use your authority unwisely. Eating meat is not only unwise but unhealthy, cruel and disaster to our earth. In a few centuries or sooner everyone will understand this and eating meat will look like a barbarous cave man's habit. All in time... all in time.

Medical science is discrediting itself. When some specialists say one thing and other specialists say a totally different thing, it casts doubts wheter it's a science or a more or less educated opinion.
I take it the meat eaters doctors hate the vegetarians and start writing articles against vegetarian diet, based on their own biased premises.

In Italy many doctors are starting to praise the virtues of vegetarian diets. One of the most renowned ones, who has also been the minister of health for some time, is a vegetarian himself and repeats that  vegetarians display a lower prevalence of cancer.

It seems rather easy to get defensive when discussing our beliefs. Although I don't disagree with your comment mccoy I do find it hard to believe all meat eating doctors are speaking from a place of hate.

I've been a vegetarian for 2 years before going back to occasionally eating meat. I think we'd be going in circles in attempts to prove who is right or who is wrong. Fortunately my baby sister has been a vegetarian for almost 10 years and is wise enough to make her own, conscious decisions.

I think I'm even getting too involved. At this point I can say to each his own as I believe, Steve, that mother earth is teaching me it's okay to eat meat whilst your opinion is the polar opposite!

I still love you buddy and I'm happy I've the opportunity in getting to know you. = ) cheers to this thread. I've officially retired from it lol.

It is an irony that material doctors only know the science of the body. Very few have any knowledge of the science of the soul. Therefore I have found doctors to be hateful as mccoy has mentioned. I have seen them sarcastic, scornful and dogmatic. Intellect is not wisdom. Of course this is a generalization which obviously does not always hold true. Amma was awarded a doctarate. But she is a doctor of the soul. Not it's shadow.

There is another science. In that science we do not dissect. We do not kill. We do not look outward for the answers. Insteat we turn the microscope inwards and become aware of who and what we are.

We discover that as we can find energy sources outside us to fuel our conveniences so we are also able to find energy and fuel within. We no longer hack heads off of animals nor do we let others engage in such cruel, barbaric acts to fuel more ignorance. We recognize our duty to be stewards of mother earth and nature. Not destroyers.

We recognize... slow by slow... that we ourselves are sources of energy. We can draw on the 'food' and energy of the cosmos. The magnetized energy from those around us; High spirits we contact. The air we breath. The sunlight that nourishes us. The energy that sustains our bodies from  energization. 'For man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God.'

We do not ingest death and acts of violence into our body. We recognize we are spirits first and only bodies secondly. We recognize that it is not a matter of right or wrong but a matter of who and what we are. As this realization dawns on us we no longer judge those who have differing views. Instead... more and more.. we live our truth. We recognize that pur spiritual brothers and sisters are helplessly drawn to the food and energy sources congruent with the vibration they emit. There is enough energy in our body temples to light Chicago for a day. But that recognition comes with time and understanding. These things are learned through spiritual practice and meditation and thru the awakening techniques of the Masters.

There is a much higher science. That science shows us how to recognize that we ourselves are energy sources. We can emanate  energy out towards others. We have unlimited potential. Animals become our friends and recognize, instinctually our peaceful presence and we mean them no harm. They are transformed in that radiance.

Actually, as Steve implies, chopping off animals to get nourishment is something Worth of a primitive and extremely barbarian society, not a civilized one.
It was OK to the prehistorical humans during glaciation periods, when crops did not grow and the alternative was starving. It is all right for eskimos, who cannot harvest fruit, nuts and vegetables nor farm cereals nor raise cattle for milk. Again, it can be OK if modern society crumbles down and people are compelled to hunt for survival.

The reality of it remains though, as Steve rightly pointed out. We are Killing helpless adult creatures and babies (lambs, calves., piglets...) to get bad nourishment for the body when there is plenty of good nourishment around.

"Serving meat and dairy products at an event to combat climate change is like selling pistols at a gun-control rally," Morrissey wrote. "Your responsibility is to alert people to a crisis, not sell out to the vendors responsible for it." "Since you can't miss the fact that meat consumption is killing the planet - your own sponsor organization, the United Nations, states this...."

Morrissey

Not sure how dairy products destroy the environment but there is no question about meat eating destroying the environment.

Maybe he refers to the fact that mantaining a milk-producing cow takes up many resources... although we could always avoid intensive cattle raising and milk is also good sattvic product which can guarantee an optimization of vegetarian diets.

Red Meat and Pork typically have a higher rate of cause for Physical Metabolic side-effects.

1).  Kidney Stones (uric acid is most common element, among others -- a uroligist will include some comments about the above, and other food types).
2).  Gout

It is a shame how many of us may treat ourself of kidney stones and gout
by simply abstaining from red meat and pork,
-- even continuing to eat limited poultry, fish, eggs
-- meat servings smaller than the palm of hand (no fingers).

This simple treatment plan / lifestyle would help those folks whose bodies are prone to this condition.

"We treat them, God cures them"

*********
Metaphysically, the body must have reason (causality) to release the 'mortal-coil' at some point...

*********
Ghandi stated,
a greater injury will occur by a vegan,
who judges another (and pushes negativity to a meat eater).
than by one who eats meat,
but is innocent/unaware of the violence embodied in the meat.

Thank-You for your thoughtful post Scotty. I have an afterthought to your last paragraph by Gandhi who was a vegan himself.

In all likelihood, the cruelty of the United Clones of America corporate dairy farms and meat processing companies far exceeds any ideas Gandhi may have had regarding vegan's and meat eaters.  On the contrary i would be more likely to believe he would use his ahimsa and non- violent resistance views and practice them on corporate America.... quite like he did in India to stop British colonialism.
