The Kepler exoplanets

I just became aware (broadcast by the daily news) of the existance of the earth like planet Kepler-186f in the cygnus constellation. plus a number of Others,
I find the excitement is probably not justified by the known facts. The planet has very similar size to earth and similar distance to its dwarf star, but the star's radiation is  far lesser than our sun, making it a dark and maybe, depending on teh atmosphere, a cold planet.

Besides, it pretty far away: 490 light years. If you broadcast a radio signal now, it will hit the planet in half a millenium.

There will have to be a faster way to travel if ever want to reach something like this in our physical world. The speed of light isn't fast enough.

I believe the speed of thought energy could do it.

Will we ever have that God-like power on a physical plane?

Sorry I was mixing the exoplanets up. the present excitment is about Kepler 452b, Always in the cygni constellation, but orbiting around the 452 star.
I take my considerations on teh journalists errors back, it's 1400 light years far, thrice the distance of Kepler 186f.
It seems to be more promising than Kepler 186f as far as earth-similarity goes.

Basically NASA is telling us 3 things:

1) Bears shit in the Woods, that is :there are earth like planets, one thing which was so certain statistically, only the medieval geocentric Church would have told the opposite
2) We know now the Woods where the bears shit, that is the stellar systems where earth-like candidates are. Even though we do not know if there is sentient life.
3) We know that we'll never be able in this life to go and see the bears shit in their woods, since they are so far away that what we see now happened 500 (Kepler 186f) or 1500 (keple 452b) years ago.

Unless an incredible breakthrough in stellar navigation happens, those planets are forbiddingly far away.

They say in 2024 a new program will start the search of exoplanets in closer systems with brightest stars.

The exoplanets discovered are quite a few, the 452b is the most recent, not shown in the following illustration.
Numbers is the star system, letter is, in the order, the closer, the 2nd closer and so on to its star

KK, now I understand the excitement. it's that Kepler 452b is the one exoplanets so far discovered with characteristics closer to earth. its mass, its star luminosity and so on. It is not known yet if it is a rock planets, with rocky continents or if fluid prevails.

I was having the same thought.

Pluto looks remote, yet its average distance from the sun-earth is 5.5 light hours, that is,  about 0.014 light years

Whereas the earth twin, Kepler 452b, is 1400 light years away....

This gives to us an idea of the vast interstellar distances, which woudl need a faster than light travel system to be explored.

The NASA JPL in its site gives an explanation on how it could be done by the spatio-temporal wormhole, the downisde being that, beside requiring an unthinkable amuntof energy, we shoul already be on the other side of the wormhole to build up the portal. That is, to reach Kepler 452b, we should already be there.

We can be optimistic though.  Kepler 452b is a couple of billions year older than earth, so if the conditiosn are right, there has been a lot of tiem to develop intelligent life.

Intelligent life could broadcast to us the design of a portal wormhole they already built in their planet. This of course has been going on for a few thousand of years, since a signal takes 1500 years to reah us from there. We should but build the portal following there design and then a connection would be estabilished. But....

-Would that be safe? There would be some danger in accepting instructions from an alien civilization. Would that be a benevolent civilization or a predator one, just waiting for helpless victims to fall into their trap?

Another possibility woudl be that an alien civilization, now residing around the earth unvisible to us (that 's the Norman Paulsen hypothesis) would choose to bestow to us the wormhole technology and make us free to roam the galactic routes.

All the aboved is stil  pure fantasy though. So far we are trapped into this planet like into a  jail.

As you probabaly already know the Masteres have told us that during this age of Dwapara Yuga space will colapse. We have already begun to notice that in our fast travels around the 'jail' and our communication in most all parts of it. Yet we may have to wait for the Treta Yuga to collapse time, as we have been told will happen. Perhaps then the great distance will be surmounted. However, as a civilization, we will still be much like spiritual retards until we explore the inner regions of the heart and divine order which is reserved for the Satya Yuga.
