If there are powerful, misterious and faraway stellar objects the quasars are sure these ones. Iso ne of them a candidate to SYT's grand center? Probably too far away. Their jet though may be a source of special influence.

Quote
The power of quasars originates from supermassive black holes that are believed to exist at the core of all galaxies. A survey of the 40 nearest galaxies with the Hubble Space Telescope in the 90's revealed Doppler shifts of the stars near the core of those galaxies were rotating about tremendous masses with very steep gravity gradients, suggesting black holes. Although quasars appear faint when viewed from Earth, the fact that they are visible at all from so far is due to quasars being the most luminous objects in the known universe. The quasar that appears brightest in the sky is 3C 273 in the constellation of Virgo. It has an average apparent magnitude of 12.8 (bright enough to be seen through a medium-size amateur telescope), but it has an absolute magnitude of −26.7.[2] From a distance of about 33 light-years, this object would shine in the sky about as brightly as our sun. This quasar's luminosity is, therefore, about 4 trillion (4 × 1012) times that of our Sun, or about 100[2] times that of the total light of giant galaxies like our Milky Way. However, this assumes the quasar is radiating energy in all directions, but the active galactic nucleus is believed to be radiating preferentially in the direction of its jet. In a universe containing hundreds of billions of galaxies, most of which had active nuclei billions of years ago but only seen today, it is statistically certain that thousands of energy jets should be pointed toward us, some more directly than others. In many cases it is likely that the brighter the quasar, the more directly its jet is aimed at us.

I would say this mccoy; the beauty and splendor of such objects lead one to wonder but the sheer distance most probably insulates us from such influence. However In the 1930s, Karl Jansky, a physicist with Bell Telephone Laboratories, discovered that the static interference on transatlantic phone lines was coming from the Milky Way. We are finding more and more that smaller and more distant objects are influential. It is a study for future astrologers to determine just how far and to what mass and distance an object can affect events here on earth and in our personal lives. A planet like Pluto which you and I have lately been affected by has to do with forces of a social nature much larger then our personal lives. I have definately witnessed this as I have noticed business becoming more and more corporate and crushing small individual enterprises. When the planet was discovered the powers of the atom and the resulting atomic bomb was used. These forces were way beyond the Japanese to have control over.b

As you know Sri Yukteswar is telling us that some distant object is having an affect on the social unfoldment and spiritual understaning of inhabitants here on earth. His assertion is nothing less then shocking to the scientific community and to our understanding of self determination. It is likely though, that our choices lead us to be born into higher and lower yugas or ages.

In this particular solar system we find ourselves surrounded by the judge and jurors of Saturn, Pluto and other planets which release events in which we face the consequences of past actions. However we are also given the incentive of opening up to the possibilities which Jupiter reveals. Hindu astrology uses the influence of distant stars and western astrology uses the influence of distant objects and planets in our solar system. As far as I know no one has determined the influence of quasars. But no doubt their discovery has a significance beyond just their physical characteristics. We must remember though that they are so far away that when their light was emitted our planet did not exist. We are seeing what they looked like before our planet existed. This type of distance confounds the mind. Most of the far off objects are also leaving us. Spinning away at astronomical speed. From an Astrological view we interpret phenomena closer to our solar system and the larger and or closer it is the more it's 'weight' so to speak.

Recently I read this below. There are no quasars in our galaxy;

Quasars are extremely distant objects in our known universe. They are the furthest objects away from our galaxy that can be seen. Quasars are extremely bright masses of energy and light. The name quasar is actually short for quasi-stellar radio source or quasi-stellar object.

Quasars are the brightest objects in our universe, although to see one through a telescope they do not look that bright at all. This is because quasars are so far away. They emit radio waves, x-rays and light waves. Quasars appear as faint red stars to us here on Earth.

A quasar is believed to be a supermassive black hole surrounded by an accretion disk. An accretion disk is a flat, disk-like structure of gas that rapidly spirals around a larger object, like a black hole, a new star, a white dwarf, etc. A quasar gradually attracts this gas and sometimes other stars or or even small galaxies with their superstrong gravity. These objects get sucked into the black hole. When a galaxy, star or gas is absorbed into a quasar in such a way, the result is a massive collision of matter that causes a gigantic explosive output of radiation energy and light. This great burst of energy results in a flare, which is a distinct characteristic of quasars.

The light, radiation and radio waves from these galaxies and stars being absorbed into a black hole travel billions of light years through space. When we look at quasars which are 10-15 billion light years away, we are looking 10-15 billion years into the past. Pretty amazing, right?

Yes, the Quasar is a huge jump into the past, and your doubt is legitimate about the influence of objects which may not have been existing for a very long time.

Nevertheless, we don't know exactly how this influence folds out. If the influence takes place in a manner similar to the light beams, we are now seeing the visual influence of objects which are no more existing. Their light exists though, an electromagnetic emanation of such objects, and the light to us (and to the scinetists) is real, it's photons, waves, hitting our earth, carrying information about the objects. Very weak photons but enough to understand a littel of ther long-dead source.

The astrological influence may hypothetically be Greater. It probably propagates in different ways than light, but we cannot rule it otu that it is still active, like the influence of light is active 8otherwise we would have no information of such objects).

This si a very interesting and recent news. The Hubble telescope revealed that the quasar in theMarkarian 231 galaxy, 581 million years away, is in reality a binary system of supermassive black holes.. This quasar is also apparently the closest known to our solar system.

U have some of the coolest illustrations... the visual aspect sure  adds a lot! It makes one wonder what we were doing way back then. It also gives the feeling  of time itself being illusive since we are seeing things that in all likelihood do not exist as we see them. So what is  reality? What we see coming from the quasar or what is happening now to that area of the sky. We often experience friendships and relationships that way. What is reality and what we see may be only our view and not someone else's reality and view.

We find that people may also view us like they did in a previous incarnation for which we no longer manifest-we have moved on. So perhaps our discovery of such objects has to do with the illusion of time in our relationships with reality. This may be part of its astrological significance in our personal charts. The next thing would be to find the sector of the sky the quasars are transmitting from to see what they affect in a personal chart.

Perhaps these type of discoveries also inspire to recognize that there are many realities within our own being as there are out in space. At this point it is very difficult to know just where such places like these black wholes would take us.

There are personal realities that we experience that are difficult to describe to others. When we have similar experiences it comes with recognition between us and affirms our experiences.

The distance and power of such objects serves to make our little lives and concerns rather small in comparison and inspires us to expand our awareness.

Right! a binary system of supermassive black holes is, to understate it, a colossal monster. We are minuscule and our worries are non-existant in comparison.
