Are you agreeing or disagreeing with US prisons?

Personally I think there is more crime committed inside than we know. Kind of like the loony bin lockups, eh?

Is that what they deserve?

i put that link on here so people can make their own assessment.  Personally i think the biggest criminals r in society.....Depriving others of enjoying nature with their no trespassing signs, making it impossible two swim and enjoy the lakes and rivers because of selfish private property rights. Stealing the services of others with low wages, antagonizing the poor, by putting them in jail or telling them to move on when they have nowhere to go. Poisoning the water supply of the poor. Making it difficult for lower classes to  vote. These r examples of the true criminals of humanity.

Well I agree but that's a different issue. That's been going on since man figured out how to screw his neighbor.

But back to the topic, I think maybe this guy has a point, but I doubt anyone will respect it.

Actually, the original link was about a very peculiar jail, one with exceptional confinement measures and exorbitant costs to the contributor.

The average jail is much different, although not pleasant by any means.

A super-criminal gets isolated in a super-jail because he is believed to be dangerous and able to give commands to his subordinates even from behind the bars. It has been known to happen.

Well as long as he is alive his lieutenants hold hope and continue.

Not sure this is a solution, but without killing him what can you do?

Besides, there are many more like him waiting to take his place, how do you really stop the problem?

The problem is unstoppable unless collective consciousness is changed. For example, as long as there is demand for drugs, there will exist drugs traffick. Maybe an option is making drugs use legal. This would of course cause other problems.

I agree there are some issues without a real realistic solution.

Legalize and tax heavily to pay off deficits.
