This was one of my first paintings; a little crude - am still learning! Sri Yukteswar is my favorite of the Gurus. Here is another portrait by an artist in Oregon - Michael Phelan. It is really beautiful.
http://www.wolfcreekarts.com/images/Sri.jpgYour painting is appreciated regardless of the time in your art career it was painted! It is interesting how the personality comes out slightly different depending on the artist. Both paintings bring out an interest which is the important thing... especially today! i wonder if you understand why Sri Yukteswar is your favorite Guru? i would say that Babaji and Amma are mine although obviously we are grateful for all of them!
We are very fortunate to have Sri Yukteswar's accounts (chapter 43 ; 'The Resurrection of Sri Yukteswar') of the higher astral and causal realms in the Autobiography of a Yogi! He also told us his whereabouts in Hiranyaloka or 'Illumined Astral Planet.' i have also read the Holy Science so many times. The section on the yugas interests me the most.
