This thread was inspired b7y recent events through which i have recieved insights into myself and my behavior. i have been exposed to the highest and lowest in myself thru the kindly thoughts and words of friend(s). i want to strangle and starve out the evil wolf. Somehow these attempts at instant solutions do not give way to lasting consequences. Nevertheless, the battle continues with small victories and sudden setbacks only to find our lives are changing for the better if we are moving in the right direction.
A true friend is someone who holds up a mirror so that we can see ouselves clearly and dispel3 illusions. A friend is also someone who can help us see the highest in ourselves. i would like to be successful at both of these and not deter others and cause them to loose faith along the way.

A Cherokee Legend
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. "A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.
"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego." He continued, "The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
