Biological and substance alternating conditions may be interesting and even inspiring but can never be considered true spiritual experiences. True spiritual experiences are from spirit and not from substances. We become different people from them. We gain tremendous wisdom and act different as human beings afterwards. We treat others differently and evolve as spiritual beings from meditation and true spiritual practice. This has been my experience.
