So, I would argue, are psychedelics more than an evening high when used in certain circumstaces. They are part of many spiritual traditions such as those of the Native Americans and the Shamans from the amazon. I don't use them personally.
Yes i can understand this. For instance; Peyote was quite an eye opener for myself. i do not regret its use at all. For me .... that kind of experimentation has been limited and rare. I recently tried some hash again. It just doesn't compare to spiritual experiences. It (peyote and other psychedelics) can really show u what is there to b released in a human being. But the experiences in meditation seem more subtle and have a more of a lasting impression because of their sacredness. We see that we ourselves have been opened to love and light with no intermediary. No go-between. Except the blessings of the Masters. When we have them we truly recognize that only spirit itself could give such awareness and opening up of consciousness to a larger reality.
