What i find interesting is that we have talked about the 'darkness' of this creation and being able to see thru the web of illusions that it presents in the ever-present condition of maya that surrounds our every day activity. Paramahansa Yogananda does not state that he is the only way to find salvation but he does state that it is 'only through the guru-disciple relationship may a truant human soul retrace its footsteps to God.' This quote can be found in lesson 51.
