i believe the alien reptile has done the ultimate cover up. He has dissolved himself.... not a trace.

We need to entertain more simple explanations. It is more likely that our alien friend was flying too low with the hatches open and where there was a lot of road kill. The smell of skunks can bring any visitor back home in no time.
