Honouring the transition of a friend
«

Dear Friends,
These are blessed days. Yesterday, I honoured the ninth anniversary of my dear friend Chris' transition to other realms. This year was markedly different to other years, as I was not plagued by attendant thoughts of 'This is what was happening at this time nine years ago', etc. I have no doubt that this is because I have returned to Paramahansaji's teachings. I scattered some mini gerbera flowers in a local lake, in honour of an experience I had three years ago, that I may recount elsewhere.
I wanted to honour this sacred time for me with my friends here, and also to thank Steve/Jitendra for allowing me the great privilege of becoming a member of the team.
Aum Guru,
Casey

So that is Chris? Beautiful hair! It is so nice to have your warm presence with us again after all this time Casey and to have you share the warmth you have had with other friends.

Yes, that's Chris. She is instrumental in my discovery of this path, and our relationship continues, despite the 'distance'. I watched Bro. Anandamoy's talk on 'The Mother Aspect of God' last night, and was finally able to understand just why my relationship with her feels the way it does. Her physical motherness, to her two beautiful children, and that feeling I had when we talked and still do when she's 'around'. Her physical motherness bore out an evident attunement to Divine Mother, whether she knew it or not. That was reflected back to me so powerfully...so very powerfully.
Yoganandaji said that the highest forms of friendship are those which awaken yearning for God. She does that, even now.
Hers is the most blissful friendship I have ever experienced. I went looking elsewhere, and I'm coming to a point where I find that blissfulness in my sadhana, thank Mother.

Hello I saw the quote you having your signature from verse 12 of chapter 2 of the Bhagavad-Gita and so I read through that in the Masters interpretation of it in the Bhagavad-Gita The royal science of God realization and then I went ahead and read verse 13 as well and in that verse I saw this; " the wise do not expect to reap everlasting happiness from friends beloved family or dear possessions. The forms of loved ones are snatched away by death. Material objects turn out to be meaningless when one becomes used to them; or when at old age the senses grow unappreciative powerless. Concentrate on the immortal spirit through meditation and find there a harvest of eternal every new piece.
That was my reading thought; it might interest you since you had the quote just a little bit different than the masters version. It says in verse 12; It is not that I have never before been incarnated; nor thou, nor these other royal ones! And never in all futurity shall any one of us not exist!

Thank you, Jitendraji.
I haven't yet had the opportunity to read Paramahansaji's
God Talks With Arjuna
. I used the version I am most familiar with, from A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. I love Paramahansaji's rendering of v.13.
Jai Guru!

Yes i too have found it very difficult to forget about people. They are still part of my memories and in essence since there is really no future or past and in the present we seem to be trapped in this dimension not knowing that all past and future occurrences are in the now. It is just that we want to experience over again the beautiful memories we have had with other people and some of them have passed on, i just have this strong feeling that i will be with them again. When i think of them i pray for their spirits where ever they may be. We no doubt can help them in that way as they may be praying for us as well wherever they may be.
There are certain people that have actually helped instigate our spiritual search in this incarnation. It is interesting to me that if i had known the greatness of some of these individuals or the part they played in my spiritual path i would have counted my blessings much more and spent more time with them while they were here. But at least i can learn from this and not neglect this over sight again. If someone comes into my life with a lot of spiritual magnetism i make a free will decision that i am going to follow that person or spend as much time with them as i possibly can while they are still around.

For me, Chris is one of those. When I think of Divine Mother, I recall the sweetness that she brought to my life, in essence a distillation of the supreme sweetness of God-contact. Though we talked of much else, our conversations were satsang, in essence. So, I give thanks for her life, and for revealing that Mother aspect of God to me. I have been around others who appear to be pure channels, but Chris was the first. I wholeheartedly agree with seeking the fellowship of the spiritually inclined whilst they are still in physical bodies.

This is what i do with people like this: U know that u and i r rather trapped in this given time Casey. We r somewhat unable to reach out to the future and the past. We r in the now. But i feel there is a peace in the present where we can lie our thoughts on such places and people where we have been. We can connect with them by being in that space of peace that comes occasionally after a meditation practice. At those times we often can put our thoughts and prayers in to those departed ones we love and that have done so much for us in our lives. In this way we can 'connect' with them again until our thoughts and prayers actually bring us back in their presence again.... When we can transcend or leave this physical dimension that is so heavy and cumbersome that it leaves us ignorant of how close other times and other dimensions are to us now.
Some twin flames do cross paths thru multiple dimensions- this one on earth and with others here as ghosts and spirit beings or we can connect with them in the astral realm. i have seen it happen in my own personal experience with two beings who love one another in multiple dimensions. However since most spirits like Chris are in higher astral realms we would not want to pull there spirits down to this dimension for any length of time. Rather it would b better for us to find our way to her realm in our attempts at meditation and our final exit from here when a pathway is more easily opened.

i have seen so many people come and go and others enter my life that i am beginning to get used to the idea that the people we love the most will soon b gone. The only hope i know of is this: That we will meet in the after life or in another life here on a physical planet. Yet we can keep them close to us in our prayers and the fond memories and b grateful for their appearance in our lives.

It is knowing, not hope alone.
I just saw a video of stevie wonder start to break down when talking about prince's passing, but he himself is a very spiritual man it seems, makes me feel as if he is not confident that all is OK.
