Wow, shocking to see how much bodily consciousness ruled my mind just two years ago. Today, it's an ongoing battle and thankfully my awareness upon wake is shifted. Remembering specific mantras, like life is a Dream or that I am not just the body or the mind helps with perspective. I find it important to stretch and take slow and focused breaths upon wake now too, not to digest news first thing but if I am going to read to include something of spiritual substance. Meditating in the morning and at night develop good habit which helps with the everyday battle we find ourselves in.
