i have found much help by meditating immediately upon awakening. Especially if you have some technique of practice that brings u into the astral spine. This is because we are already interiorized from our stay inside by the rest of sleep. It is easier to keep this energy inside and not externalized by daily distractions and vibrations that take us outward... right after using the restroom upon awakening.

it seems my natural alarm clock is to focus energy through the genitals in order to wake up and be pulled from my slumber

it seems my natural alarm clock is to focus energy through the genitals in order to wake up and be pulled from my slumber

i just spent a bit of time meditating and this great feeling of peace descended upon me. i did not really want to stop but some friends are coming over tonite. The peace was surrounding my upper head region and the body was still. Still feel it surrounding me. It is inspiring because it brings a sense of well being into my activities and the feeling that everything is as it is supposed to be.

i remember reading in the SRF lessons to get out of bed slowly as not to 'shock' the body. The heart is really quite slower during sleep and the body and senses are with drawn that is probably a physiological reason for being able to meditate better at an early hour. It is also a good reason to tense and relax the body parts before getting out of bed so the body is prepared to get up.
