Eric, I will hardly watch anything with the infowars label on it nowadays. There was a time when I was subscribed!

I only watched up to second 6. I will make a point to look at it this evening Eric although I do not believe them to be a credible news source.

Eric, I could not get past 6 mins. I do apologize because I wanted to watch it and respond with some intelligent thoughts.

I do not keep up with news sources, Eric. Only what jumps out at me. I sometimes have watched videos of Noam Chomsky who I enjoy listening to. Other than that I do not follow it. I do not believe it is correct for someone seeking self-realization to follow these things closely.

Intereststs; Meditation/Spiritual Life

WWW

i believe u have a strong point Brock. It takes the mind and spirit in very sad places. If we pray and continue to meditate we will be able to have  clearer view what to do when we get in that voting booth. The best way we can change the world is to change ourselves. Babaji has a small group of chelas who follow him as he plans and helps the spiritual evolution of the earth. Wouldn't that b a blessing just to see this high being?

The conquest of U.S. by globalists is no doubt the result of our venturism in Chile and the over throw of their freely elected socialist government which was supported by the the C.I.A. It resulted in the torture and  disappearance of many citizens and the overthrow of Allende with a resulting dictatorship of Pinochet. Our meddling in El Salvador and the murder of their Bishop Romero who begged the U.S.  to leave his country. The support of the most powerful wealthy people in Latin America and the suppression of the working class by 8 years of the Reagan administration. The support of Sandinistas (financially) governing Nicaragua from 1979 to 1990 by the Reagan administration. The promotion of slavery in early America. The economic and broken treaties to the American Indians...etc. etc. It is all of a karmic nature but these people at info wars want to put all the blame on what they feel and the see as the 'villains'  of today. They are unable to  see the causes behind world politics which go back much further.

I am not new to this stuff. As I said, I used to have a monthly subscription to infowars. I thought I was privileged to special information about the world that everyone else was just too blinded by the matrix to appreciate. I thought I had been lead to my infowars subscription by a divine hand. I even toyed with the idea that the queen of England might be a fourth dimensional shape shifting lizard.

I can remember the day that I realized Alex Jones was irrational. I had listened to an old interview he did with Noam Chomsky. Half way through the interview when Noam Chomsky disagreed with him about something, he flew off the handle and started accusing him of being a "globalist" gatekeeper. It was obviously silly.

You can find the interview there:

I had already begun to suspect my own intellectual honesty in regards of believing in a conspiracy-based worldview. But I guess you could say this was the moment of clarity.

I wanted to get through that video so I could say something that might spare you more wasted years listening to these goons conspiracize. They aren't respected journalists and they are intellectuals. They are in the entertainment (conspiratainment?) business. Their target audience is people who feel marginalized, outcast, distrustful of authority. The world is so complex that offering an elegant conspiracy plugs into our need to make an orderly narrative from the chaos of the world around us which has reached a level of extreme complexity that our brains are simple not wired to be able to do that.

Back when I was subscribed to infowars, they were predicting the civil war, FEMA camps, and globalist takeover to happen any moment. The predictions were always "by the end of the year", etc. so that one always felt this excitement that shit was going to hit the fan any moment. There was an underlying implication that Alex Jones might be a psychic or have some prophetic gift as his "gut" often told him things to tell you on the nightly news. His hits are evidence of his correct theories, his misses forgotten (as with psychics).

I know there's probably nothing I can say that'll stop you from wasting your time on this stuff. All I can really say is that I don't think these people are making the world better. I think they are entertainers at best with little more intellectual substance that you'd get from FOX.

I don't have any because I don't know anything about him. I do remember hearing his name a lot when I listened to infowars. Credibility of news sources matters if for no other reason than you are investing your time in watching or reading from them. We should probably not squander our time wastefully if we can help it.

This is a spiritual portal, and so, I feel it's necessary to not lose site of this one fact...

This research will only lead to more research. The rabbit hole is, indeed, infinite. I am most interested in to know my Self. This is only for those who find it pleasurable to talk or think about such matters. I am not condemning them. But they won't find the Self in it either.

Peace.

....I only disagree that my sharing here pulls away from the spiritual portal ?

daemoon, I would reassure you that posts liek yours are totally legitimate even in a spiritual portal, since there is a section on that purpose.
Besides, it is good to discuss such matters with other spiritually oriented people.
I understand both sides, those who mind nothing about world events and those who are concerned about them.

hi ding dong,

i watched the video you shared i think the disagreement between noam chomsky and alex jones picked up around 25 minutes and after arguing over "facts"(statistics and studies) jones wanted to say more but did so only after letting chomsky off the line. i think professor chomsky sounds like a respected person. i think if those two sat down to discuss even further they may come to an agreement but near the end it seemed like jones became a little more prideful or was upset that someone challenged him. after sending mr chomsky off the line it seemed like he just wanted to vent his frustrations and ended up feeding his anger in hopes to get the last word out, not very humble but his personality seems high strung... maybe he had a lot of coffee? lol

thank you steve and mccoy for your contributions... i respect both sides to the argument as well and will not push someone in a direction they don't want to be in when it comes to matters we rarely have influence in

Professor Chomski is one of the most respected persons in the academic world. He has the fame of being the MOST erudite person in the whole world. I'm not an fan of him, that's just his credentials.
