i often look within myself and the environment about me. If we see reoccuring themes it is true that some of them are snap shots of ourselves.

When we are put in positions of authority or control over others- however small or large that power may be - it certainly has consequences to our spiritual lives. It is often difficult to know when to have a displinary attitude and when to just let everything go without any intervention and in the process also see things deteriorate and watch others either consciously or unconsciously take advantage of us and our friends. While we may be guilty of the same. Some of those around us at times have little or no consideration for the wishes and feelings of others. Is it for us to make such observations and act upon them? If so when?

At any rate it came to my mind that often a heavy Saturn in a natal chart or between the planets in relationship charts often shows over bearing or percieved domineering qualities that make relationships difficult.

In a larger context we can also often look at world leaders throughout history who often had domineering qualities that were abusively used against others in the name of law and order. This law and order was frequently their own as we see in the autocratic policies of Kim Jong-un of North Korea.

This is a subject i hope others respond to because i have found tactics in personal friendships also that result in impasses in relationships. Although we cannot always expect all relationships to go on smoothly forever....We can work towards harmony if it seems attainable and is a goal of both partners involved.

Starling as u no doubt know Saturn and Mars have been criss-crossing together the last couple signs since winter this year
and thru the houses. They are both in Sagittarius right now and in a few days Mars will pass and leave Saturn behind and go into Capricorn. The important point being they are both malific planets covering the same recent path across everyones charts ......yours and mine being quite similar with the gemini ascendent.

Do you still have an ephemeris to see all this...or access to one on the computer?

We are all at this thing called life creatively adapting and responding to events as they transpire. It is very difficult to know if we are responding with wisdom or preconceived ideas from past conditioning. Often we have had several encounters with people and they have been quite similar in outcome. So we think to ourself.... Ah this is very familiar. i have a good idea where this is going. But others may b sensitive enough to recognize we r on to them and change their behavior accordingly. And then too, admittedly, we all live in the headlines and stories generated in our own heads.  But quite often people do not take the time to understand the weirdness of others and just write them off before fully comprehending their behaviors.

Saturn's function is slowing your pace down with friends and groups so u may learn wisdom from such activities. This is because it is placed in your 11th house of friendship, group activities and hopes and dreams. It is not meant to put a damper on such things but as a way to come to terms with who you really are in regards to these activities....not what u have come to believe. And so it is with me... i to am learning who i am with regard to relationships. Not who i have imagined myself to be.

It is a wonderful school we are in here Eric. We have so much to learn in such a short period of time. i recognize our differences. Lucky for us we have so many sympathies and recognitions from the past that have kept us together for many life episodes that transcends these environmental contingencies. That makes us also aware of the challenges that are inevitable between all people who love one another and work at relationships and getting along. It is much more meaningful when people come together with the same aspirations.
