i have a collection memorized from childhood. last night was a doozy.

i was visiting a "doctor" for an earache. we went into a cold room similar to a meatlocker which was curious... the doctor tried to explain to me we'd need to lower our body temperature for the procedure. the next room had dismembered and bloodied human specimens hanging from meat hooks. before i could question anything the doctor started slicing a portion of my ear off.

the next dream was like a party at my parents house. the whole neighborhood was getting together for a bbq. it was pretty awful, there were whole pigs being roasted. my dad had a little puppy in his hand and almost threw him on the fire saying he was dying anyway. i stopped him and took the puppy in. at one point i did something to the house by accident which caused the second story to sink through the ceiling.... the foundation holding up the second story had been stripped away and i tried to warn everyone the top of the house was falling through. no one really seemed to care. well it finally happened and the debris from the crash resulted in killing the puppy in the backyard. i ran up to him and found him curled into a ball laying in a puddle, he was dead. i felt really sad then woke up.

this sparked memories of other gory dreams i've had in the past. things from childhood i remember to this day like being tricked into an underground bunker with a group. we were impaled side by side and the word angel formed from the blood splattered against the wall. the sun swept over the words before they closed the metal ceiling above us.

Hope u do not mind this suggestion. It is something I did as a child when I did have nite mares. I reasoned with myself that I did not want to have them. I told myself before going to sleep that I would remind myself during my nightly dreams that I was only dreaming and wake myself if I had bad dreams.

I would have a nite mare and during the dream I would hear this little voice say ' you are only dreaming...wake yourself up'.  And so...I would. 2ndly  if u are watching anything that is horror oriented stop watching them ....they influence the subconscious mind from which dreams usually originate.🙂

hi Steve,

i don't mind at all. as simple as it may seem, i am grateful for these reminders. i never thought i was so much a creative person but i certainly have an over active imagination. this coupled with a 6th sense of sorts made it difficult to fall asleep at night as a child. i think i unfortunately turned off this sense at an early age, clearly not ready to explore these subtle forces. even now when i go lucid or on the verge of what feels like the entry stage to having an out of body i will become quite panicked.

i used to experience sleep paralysis and learned, if you're ever scared during this episode, it is possible to break out from the feeling of paralysis. for me it was a matter of sending my awareness to my big toe. i would tell myself, i am going to wiggle this toe now and with a little effort i was able to immediately break away from the body entering its "standby" mode we typically enter when going to sleep.

thank you and i will try.

kind regards
 Smiley

Eric

Last nite I had a dream that makes me wonder. In it two couple were trapped in a large pit of the bottom of a house there was a wood frame above and the door was wood and closed. They were asleep and awakened to a woman leaving above thru the  door. I was just witnessing  the scenario. Not sure why I would have such a dream. But I plan on asking. I have always wondered about people disappearing that I used to see on billboards and truck stops when driving a truck.
