Luckily Houston(despite being within the big Steak & BBQ State of TX) has a pretty strong community for vegans/vegetarians. =)

Eric I guess I didn't know you live so close to the ocean. Is that rite? Press this topic to see  map on this thread.

That's nice to hear Eric! ( above quote ) Michigan is quite a meat eating state. We have cattle farms and an abundance of deer. They bring the deer hunters out but there are areas like Ann Arbor that may be similar to Houston. Although I do not care for this about Michigan it is a gorgeous state and seems to have strong pockets of progressive spiritual interests.  u can see by Comet's pictures above what it looks like in some places. We have many places to meditate and enjoy nature. Hope u know it would be nice to have u and others visit.

How is living in Houston?

Hi Steve,

Hot for the most part! Humidity is the biggest factor here. Houston itself is okay. I would say we are a business oriented city. We're very diverse with different cultures which make for some really good "authentic" foods. Aside from tex-mex, we have great indian food, persian food, chinese, viet, thai, nigerian and peruvian! Traffic and drivers are awful(much different beast in their vehicles). Food & Beverage is usually the entertainment here. Some decent art and music venues. Not the most health conscious I would say as a city but getting MUCH better.

Cheers! =)

Thanks Eric. Sounds like a lot to share in eating experiences! 🎎  Different cultures usually bring a broader view about life. Hope to meet you one day!
