Peace and blessings ~ ~ ~ ~
When we have challenges to our ideals, principles and ego, most people recoil and if they are vindictive they may even strike back like a snake. We begin to recognize this about ourselves also as we see it plainly in others. People often abandon those that may be helpful to them in a misguided attempt to retain the narrative of the identity that they have created for themselves--which feels threatened. With this recognition there is also the awareness that ego governs all this activity. We become more at peace with our true nature and less reactive and gain an acceptance for the ego and ignorance we may notice in others.
While it is best to not be apprehensive and have anxiety about the future it is also important to recognize our own illusions and misconceptions about ourselves and others and their ideas and our own. If we constantly remain open to others and detached about our own views it is possible that we may understand the motivations and views of those we come in contact with and we may even be able to cast off some of our own layers of illusion so that the rays of enlightenment can shine thru the cracks of our own ignorance and reveal our true nature--which is joy and bliss.
What a beautiful quote. I can agree here. It seems so easy to defend or discredit a person based on ones beliefs(beliefs that are subject to change), sometimes we do this subconsciously, here we are asked to detach from all that noise and remember our connection to God and live in love.
