I couldn't agree more with the sentiments expressed in this thread. This energy is called rajas in yoga. Ramana Maharshi was once asked about westerners and he said they are too rajasic. The western lifestyle leads to mental restlessness. It is the disease of our time. It is the reason we have lost our sanity. People don't know why they are so unhappy. This is why. People are never where they are, they are always a few moments ahead of this one. Great thread!

Our world is full of distractions. I was the only one in the elevator yesterday not glued to my phone. It was a little awkward but eye opening at the same time.

My job depends on being attached to my phone- I've gone mental over alerts and notifications. I still am bothered by it. I think on the weekends I may turn the phone off.

Transformation is possible.
