Good Morning Steve and Portal Members. =)

Quite often I find even those rough relationships bring about something beneficial. In the moment realization isn't so easy but later the mind is able to put together what it must to move on and after enough time the choice is really up to the individual how to view those encounters. I would say, for health, it's important to try and see the greater picture. Sometimes the universe throws in its surprises too. Emotions can be difficult. I think it's also important to forgive yourself... Recognition of your flaws and forgiveness when you falter- don't be so hard on yourself. Lately I find I am trying to digest the knowledge and rise above the typical reaction... Like, if someone tries to wrong me or is being deceitful- knowing what they are doing and realizing it in a way that will lead to an intelligent, creative or even dismissive response rather then react in a violent or upset fashion.

I think the best example I can give is last night with my friends cats. One of my friends was evacuated and living with me(he's moving back today) and his cats have been moved to my second room. Last night I popped in to greet them after work. The girl cat took kindly to me but the boy cat made these insane noises and did not want me to approach him. He was so upset he lashed out at me and snarled- My initial feelings were to get equally defensive and upset... But how stupid of me correct? It seems so trivial but again, in the moment things aren't so easy. Having the knowledge of why he was so upset- being displaced from his comfort and put in a small room, having to share his food bowl with girl cat, having two other unfamiliar cats roaming outside and a stranger coming in and out every so often. I had to remember these things to leave him be and come back with some treats to try and make peace. He took kindly to the snacks. =)

I've seen girls lie to me thinking I don't know they're lying and the best thing I can do is not make it a thing but not live the lie either. Anyways... Going off on a tangent here.

Thanks for the reminders. =) I'd say we're all a little unusual LOL
