I don't buy it. I don't discredit an old woman's story because her occupation was unwaged and I don't think most people would either?

Just look at who we have as a so called leader to inspire our youth and the language he uses and we use quite unconsciously---- "I don't buy it." ---- and it becomes quite obvious where such deterioration manifests in society. Everybody and everything is treated like a comodity; even in our expressions in language.

When I say I don't buy it, Im saying I don't believe most people would give less value to a good story just because the person sharing that story has an unwaged job. ...?

Well my friend you see what kind of stories our leaders give today and they certainly have the highest wages in the world so it gives you an idea to what extent our values are warped.

The values of the West have always seemed, questionable. Fortunately I don't feel so afflicted by many of those "defining" notions. That's not to say I am not a product of my environment(Working on breaking this currently). Since I can choose where to give my attention I don't think I represent the warped values you speak of. At least certain aspects.
